Synopsis

When Nick McCoy first met Piper, he was lost and nursing a broken heart; so when she offers him a no-strings attached relationship, he is eager to accept. What he first thinks of as good arrangement, turns into something so much bigger. Something that could change his life forever.

For Piper love doesn’t exist. She spends her time running her business and only entering into casual relationships. She never stays with one man long, and so far that has worked for her. When Nick comes along, he shows her something different; he shows her that things can’t always be simple. And maybe, just maybe, love does exist after all.

Review

A Wedding Affair is book 3 of the Atlanta Affair series and could be read as a standalone.  Hitting the ground running, A Wedding Affair begins with Nick McCoy beside himself at the wedding of his dream woman. Piper Anais is the friend of the bride, Victoria, and wants to have a good time. Not looking for a relationship and making it known, Piper may have been just what Nick needs to get out of his funk.
I was lured into the this story because I wanted to know what could have happened to Piper that was so bad to have a sour taste about relationships. I felt really sorry for Nick, he came across as a love sick puppy. It was a change from the domineering CEO business man type. None of that here in A Wedding Affair, no ma’am, nope. And at times I got mad at Piper for her actions and leading the poor guy on. There were more characters than I’ve read in previous books. And all had solid friendships but I wish I would have had the backstory. This book had 2 POVs, Nick and Piper and I liked that. That’s probably why I sided more with Nick. Writing style was good and made for steady read. There is an HEA which I always love. 3.5 smooches for A Wedding Affair by Isabelle Rae.
