Synopsis

If there’s one thing Cleo Reynolds knows, it’s that she’s not into Adrian King.

The son of a model with the looks to prove it, the experienced author of her school newspaper’s sex advice column, the cocky playboy with a hint of darkness. That Adrian King.

Nope. Nuh-uh. No way.

The problem is, he’s very into her.

After accidentally flashing him, and slightly-less-accidentally-but-still-totally-unintentionally making out with him in front of the whole class, she expects to be called crazy. Instead, he asks her out.

Cleo’s determined not to end up as another notch on his bedpost. Except she hasn’t done…you know…it in a while. (Read: ever.) And as a girl who pays her tuition by writing all the sex scenes in her roommate’s bestselling romance series, the lack of inspiration has served up a fat slice of writer’s block.

Until her roommate proposes that Cleo and Adrian act out all the steamy scenes in her book.

It’s just research. No feelings involved.

Nope. Nuh-uh.

No way

Review

“Your genius plan to revitalize my writer spirit fell through. I’ll just have to go to India to discover myself like that chick in Eat, Pray, Love, Sleep, Masturbate and whatever else.”

Sometimes you need a fun laugh out loud while falling in love with the characters book. Adrian Lessons was PERFECT for that. I was constantly texting my book BFF quotes because someone else needed to see the craziness and awesomeness that was this book.

“Sometimes I want to write her Catholic parents a strongly worded letter. And by ‘strongly worded’ I mean I want to send them a piece of paper with the word ‘COCK” typed fifty times in a row. Just to watch them detonate.”

Cleo has a secret . . . she loves to write smut. Not sweet romances but make your panties disappear because it is so HOT smut. Her best friend and roommate has a secret too, she is a best selling romance author who is so repressed she cannot write her own sex scenes in her books. So this is a partnership made in dirty heaven, her roommate gets to be a bestselling author and Cleo gets a third of trhe money to pay for school. So where is the problem you ask . . . Cleo has writers block ever since breaking up with her boyfriend of three years. This all lead to her BFF sending in a letter to the campus SEX KING who also happens to be the boy desperately pursuing Cleo, Adrian! While all this sounds great “The Sex King” on paper and email is a bit of a douche and rubs Cleo the wrong way, while Adrian the man is actually sweet and has had a crush on Cleo for a long time. All of this crazy and intricate plot leads along with a lot more craziness I do not even have time to go into lead to Adrian and Cleo acting out some of the scenes in the book she is working on to inspire her all because she owes her partner/BFF BIG TIME!

“We all have unrealistic dreams, okay? I want to streak across Fenway Park. You want to go out with me. Both will never happen.”

You know those books you just cannot shut up about and annoy all your friends with non stop quotes from (come on you know you do) this was that kind of book for me! I am a NA lover and a romantic comedy lover and this book blended all that with a sweet romance and a touch of drama and angst into a great read! I was literally laughing out loud on something on almost every page and I could not put the book down. Cleo is witty and smart and doesn’t take shit. Adrian is model sexy and charming and can have any girl he wants. You just desperately want them together and watching the lengths Adrian will go to prove they are right for each other makes for a great read. Ok, I need to stop I could go on and on but honestly just trust me and go buy this book and start it now!
