Destined By Blood is an addicting look as to how the entire Bitten storyline began and as a reader who has read and loved each of the stories in the series I was engrossed with this first look into where it all started. However if you are new to the series this is also a great place to start and can be read easily as a standalone as well.

Aveta and Alaunus’s story is equal parts sweet, sext and a touch of tragic. She is a window who has been out casted and he is of royal blood and promised to another. Their love is undeniable but with so many forces against them it is almost impossible to make anything work. Mix in a bit of magic and mayhem and you have a story that hooks you right from the start.

“I love you, Aveta. As long as I have you, I have no regrets.”

I love C.C. Wood’s paranormal books. They are complex and fun at the same time. Wars are fought, love is found and everyone’s fate is in the air. The whole series is one I would recommend to any paranormal lover.
