With trying to find a new funder for the business, the last thing she has time for is Pike Sherman…the only person who has ever held her heart, and the one who she’s lied the biggest and most crucial lie to, and her best friends big brother.
Pike Sherman is Lonesome Point’s professional baseball player legend. He has spent his career of seven years avoiding Lonesome Point. Not only because of his father who he can never please, but mainly because of his little sisters best friend, Tulsi, who broke his heart in a way that can never mend. He’s spent his time playing the role of a millionaire playboy pitcher, and trying to forget the one woman who destroyed him. But after his little sister, Mia, begged him to come home to be her “Dude of Honor” in her wedding, he has to face his fear of seeing Tulsi again.
I fell in love with Tulsi Hearst in the sneak peeks given in Jessie Evans’ first book of the Lonesome Point series, Leather & Lace as well as her second Saddles & Sin. Now, after reading Tulsi’s own story…all I can say is I love her even more!
Pike is just amazing! The fact that he’s brooded over Tulsi for seven years, warmed my heart. I loved reading his perspective and the since that I was feeling everything that he was.
Jessie has outdone herself again with Diamonds and Dust! The love and lust, happiness and sadness, fear and excitement you feel throughout the book is amazing! I give 4.5 smooches to Jessie Evans’ Diamonds and Dust!!!
