Synopsis:

Michael Gallo found his calling in life – he wants to kick ass. He works at Inked as a piercer, but spends his mornings training and dreaming of winning an UFC championship. Michael is the road to achieving his goal when a chance encounter alters his world forever. The title is no longer enough – he must capture the woman of his dreams.

Fate steps in and sweeps the carpet out from under her. She tries to deny the pull to him, a man that uses his fists for gain, but the universe won’t let her walk away so easy and Michael isn’t one to take no for an answer.

He has a secret that may rip them apart. There are forces bigger than them at work; drawing them in and making their worlds collide – not letting either one of them walk away.

Review:

This is the second book in the men of inked series by Chelle Bliss focusing on brother Michael and Mia. Mia is a Doctor and Michael is a professional MMA fighter as well as part owner in a family tattoo parlor. Sparks fly when these two meet for the first time in the emergency room. Dr. Mia gets her hands on Michael’s ribs and the instant attraction is like an inferno. Fast forward several months later and they have a chance meeting at the gym. Both of them recognize each other, but can’t place the significance. What is difficult to ignore is the lust building between them. Michael is so sweet and caring when it comes to Mia and Mia, well, she just loves to bust his chops. He comes from a strong and overbearing Italian family, so he can take it. Mia is just what he needs in a woman; someone who can throw the verbal gauntlet down with the best of them.

“He leaned in, brushing the hair away from my shoulder. ‘If you keep that shit up I’m going to find another way to occupy your mouth.'”

Their relationship is fiery, full of passion. But when it is threatened by a seriously bat-shit crazy stalker lady, aka Tammy, their newborn relationship begins to crumble. Will a strong attraction to each other physically be enough to withstand the blows their relationship takes? Mia has many concerns, mainly being that she is a healer and Michael likes to dish out the pain. She is torn because her body certainly reacts positively to his barbaric tendencies, but her mind is screaming NO, this isn’t right. She soon realizes, it is very, very right and just want she needs. Michael soothes her, calms her down from her stressful life being a Doctor. He balances her out, which we all know, is a must in any relationship.

Overall, I enjoyed this second book in the series. It was an entertaining and fast read.
