SYNOPSIS:

Winslow Covington believes in life, liberty and the letter of the law. As Quincy, Montana’s new chief of police, she’s determined to prove herself to the community and show them she didn’t earn her position because her grandfather is the mayor.

According to her pops, all she has to do is earn favor with the Edens. But winning over the town’s founding family might have been easier if not for her one-night stand with their oldest son. In her defense, it was her first night in town and she didn’t realize that the rugged and charming man who wooed her into bed was Quincy royalty.

Sleeping with Griffin Eden was a huge mistake, one she’s trying to forget. He’s insufferable, arrogant and keeps reminding everyone that she’s an outsider. Winslow does her best to avoid Griffin, but when a woman is found dead on Eden property, the two of them have no choice but to cross paths.

As clues to the murderer lead to one of Quincy’s own, Griffin realizes Winslow is more than he gave her credit for. Beautiful and intelligent, she proves hard to resist. For him. And the killer.

REVIEW:

I really love Devney Perry’s writing style. With richly developed and interesting plots, colorful details, intriguing characters and heart-tugging romances, there’s definitely a lot to love. Perry really paints a vivid picture for her readers by bringing her characters to life carefully and deliberately. Her storytelling often includes a suspenseful element, and this new series certainly got off to an exciting start with an attention-grabbing, hair-raising plot.

Indigo Ridge kicks off the Edens series with Winslow Covington, the new female police chief in Quincy, Montana, and town royalty, Griffin Eden. Since anything I say will be a spoiler, I really don’t want to dish out a lot of details about the plot. This is the kind of story that needs to be read and experienced as the author intends – without any advance warning of where it is going to go. I’ll tell you that there were parts of the story where I was on the edge of my seat in anticipation of what would happen next. There were twists and turns and bumps in the road that had me up and out of my seat, pacing the floor as I read.

Perry wove this engrossing, addictive plot with a slow-burning, complex romance. Winn and Griffin make no promises to each other, and that works for a while. But slowly, ever so deliciously and slowly, the chemistry between them morphs into something neither of them had anticipated. They grew closer, and what was once a no-strings, casual thing begins to feel anything but casual. Perry did a fantastic job of allowing this moving romance to bloom organically.

Indigo Ridge sets a high bar for the Edens series, and it was an extraordinary opening to this captivating, sexy new Montana-based world from Devney Perry. A riveting, enthralling suspense plot paired perfectly with the heart-racing romance, and I absolutely inhaled this gripping and consuming story. Five smooches from me for Indigo Ridge by Devney Perry!
