REVIEW:

I love Jordan Marie’s writing, especially her MC romances, and she never fails to completely blow me away with the intense emotion and dramatic plots. These types of stories are where Jordan Marie’s talent as an author shines. She has an incredible gift for telling difficult, powerful and gripping stories, drawing the reader into them with a vivid, rich and dynamic plot. Her bikers are hardened, complex alpha males, and she pairs them with strong, resilient, independent women able to withstand the gauntlet of turmoil and adversity awaiting them on the road to their happily ever after. Although beautiful love stories in their own way, they are not sweet and romantic. They’re hard fought and even harder won, and the roller coaster of emotions that Jordan deals out along the way is as harrowing as the danger these couples must overcome.

Diesel is the first book in the Love and War duet, a romantic saga within Jordan Marie’s Savage Brothers MC—Tennessee Chapter series. As such, this book ends on a particularly tense note. I’m not going to say anything about the plot at all because anything I say would be spoiler, and this story is one that should be read without any preamble in order for the reader to experience the full impact of the story as it unfolds. In fact, there is a teaser chapter at the end of Diesel for the second book, Rory, and I quickly slammed my Kindle shut before I could read a single word of it. All I will say is that this is an exceptionally gritty, raw and emotional tale. Both Diesel and Rory’s stories are fraught with incredible evil, manipulation and betrayal. It was shocking, hair-raising, at times even frustrating, and I was completely gutted. There was passion in all its forms on these pages, and I couldn’t read this story fast enough.

While some readers may not like the idea of a two-part story, I believe that anything less than that would not have done these characters or their story justice. I am literally on the edge of my seat, anxiously awaiting the conclusion of this story, and I’m just going to let myself enjoy this anticipation as the excitement builds in me for the next book. Five stars from me for Diesel by Jordan Marie!

REVIEW:

I’m a huge fan of Lani Lynn Vale’s, and I’m really enjoying this sports romance series. Lani always adds a suspenseful element to her stories, and while this series is a bit lighter-hearted than her others, it definitely has some intrigue co-mingled with the romance. While the There’s No Crying in Baseball series is a world within one of Vale’s existing worlds, this series can definitely be read on its own and would be a great place for a new reader to start.

I loved Rhys and Henley! He was the bad boy baseball player with a heart of gold who falls hard for the sweet, good-girl next door. Right from the start, this story drew me in and held all of my attention—I positively devoured it and didn’t want to put it down, in large part because I adored this couple so much. Rhys was so protective, sweet and tender with Henley, and she was fiercely loyal, always having his back. Their romance was quick and hot, but it was the absolute adoration they had for each other that made my heart race.

Listen Pitch was one of the sweetest romances Lani has written with a couple who were in sync in every way. Vale has built yet another fictional world—with plenty of interesting side characters whose stories I am dying to for—that I cannot wait to visit again. REVIEW:

I absolutely love a second-chance romance, especially when it’s a reunion of first loves, and Kendall Ryan’s Dear Jane is an engaging blend of this favorite trope with a sports romance. Ryan’s contemporary romances are light-hearted, sexy reads with just enough angsty emotion to keep things interesting. The way that Kendall combines charming plots and endearing characters in steamy romances always hits the mark for me, and thankfully, she’s given me plenty of new opportunities to enjoy her brand of romantic fiction this year.

Dear Jane reunites high school sweethearts, Jane and Wes, ten years down the line. Wes, an NFL quarterback, is signed by the team where Jane is the assistant manager and her father is the head coach. Their break up was rough, and there was a lot more to it than Wes knew about at the time. Ten years apart, however, did nothing to cool the sizzling chemistry between the two of them, despite Jane’s best efforts to fight it. I loved how they worked through their heartbreaking history, and Wes’s regret for his role in it was palpable and genuine. With some patient persistence on his part and her willingness to forgive and forget, they were able to slide back into their old groove while also enjoying getting to know their older, more mature selves. Ryan plays up this contrast—the familiarity of their shared history with discoveries in a new relationship—making it as easy for the reader to be as invested in this love story as this couple was.

Kendall Ryan’s Dear Jane was playful, passionate and unputdownable pleasure-reading. With a swoon-worthy hero and a sweet heroine, it was packed with heart-string-pulling emotion and a smoking hot romance, and I devoured this fun, feel-good story with a smile on my face in a single afternoon. Dear Jane by Kendall Ryan gets 4.5 smooches from me!

REVIEW:

Love Sincerely Yours is the first collaboration between Meghan Quinn and Sara Ney, and if this kind of stellar storytelling is what readers can expect from this duo, then I hope they keep pumping out the stories! I’m a huge Meghan Quinn fan, so it was a given that I’d be reading this book, but this was my first time reading Sara Ney, and I am smitten! This was an effortless, natural and fabulous pairing. Their writing styles meshed very well together, and the transitions between the two authors were seamless.

Quinn and Ney crafted a seriously sexy workplace romance with an enemies-to-lovers vibe that played out brilliantly on the page. Full of the snappy, back-and-forth banter that I love, Love Sincerely Yours was a very witty, smart and smoking hot story. Unapproachable and tyrannical, Rome was the kind of boss that employees dread. But where her coworkers feared him, Peyton was inspired. She could see beyond the ruthless, brooding boss to the man underneath, something that Rome found unnerving. For her part, Peyton was an endearing blend of clever and sassy—with just a touch of calamity. I loved her!

Rome and Peyton had sizzling chemistry, the kind that practically shimmers in the air around a couple for all to see every time they’re near each other. Their attraction was evident from their first meeting and grew with an almost urgent sense of inevitability that totally made this an addictive, page-turner for me. I was captivated by this couple, on the edge of my seat, just waiting for that moment when they’d succumb to pull, and it was worth the wait. I loved everything about this couple, especially how their antagonistic relationship naturally morphed into one of adoration, but it was the creative way that Ney and Quinn brought this couple together that really grabbed my attention.

Love Sincerely Yours oozed with sexual tension in a battle of wills between a boss who doesn’t want to need an employee who is leaving the company he built. I positively devoured this amusing and entertaining love story with a smile on my face from start to finish. I absolutely loved Quinn and Ney’s first collaboration, and I’m very eagerly anticipating more from them! Five smooches from me for Love Sincerely Yours by Sara Ney and Meghan Quinn!

A dedicated wife and mother with a love of music and makeup, she won’t ever be seen leaving the house without her eyebrows and eyelashes done just right. When she isn’t reading and writing, you can catch her jamming out in the car with her two kids to ’90s R&B, country, and showtunes. Amie draws inspiration from her childhood in Columbia, South Carolina, and can’t imagine living anywhere other than the South.
