Review
Until Sage took me back to some classic Aurora books. I have been eagerly awaiting this book for awhile now and Sage did not let me down. He was hot and alpha and all kinds of angry at the start. I loved it. If you have been following the series already have had a peek into the drama that unfolded between Sage and Kim involving him being deceived by her twin without having known she had a twin. The result was he treated her badly and now we get the chance to see him attempt to make her believe they could stand a chance.

I was pulled in from the moment Sage got his BOOM and eagerly read the whole book in a day. The only thing I would have wanted more of was went down between Sage and her sister and the fallout from that. We got tastes of it in other books but this one almost went too fast into his trying to get her back. This wasn’t a big deal but overall it was the only bit I wanted more of.
Until Sage was OTT sexy, full of alpha yumminess, and an exact example of what Aurora does of so well. I can’t wait for more books in the Until Him and Until Her series!

Taking a deep breath, Alexa drew herself up to her full height and steeled herself for a battle. Although, since she stood just an inch over five feet, she knew her intimidation factor was virtually non-existent, but she had to start somewhere. It was time for her to quit stewing over decisions she could no longer change and instead concentrate on the concrete facts regarding her current situation.
And the fact was there was a flipping cat in her bed! A gigantic feline fiend apparently intent on wrecking what was left of her birthday. Because, yes, there was a cat in her bed, and it was stinkin’ immense. Since when did ordinary cats – even if they were frickin’ panthers – get that big?
The simple answer was they didn’t. EVER.
And an even better question was – Why wasn’t she scared of it?
God knew, it had fangs that promised grim death to anyone that provoked it. Oddly enough, though, she felt not a single ounce of fear or distress standing in front of it. How fucked up was that? Maybe this was some kind of voodoo curse one of her disgruntled customers had wished on her when she hadn’t served their coffee quickly enough. Personally, she thought that might be a bit of overkill, but caffeine addicts were serious in Louisiana, and one did not play around when it came to providing quality coffee in the bayou.
“Why couldn’t you be a dog? I could have handled this if you were a dog,” she muttered as she rolled her eyes toward the ceiling and hugged herself. “Especially since I’ve always been a puppy person,” she continued to babble as she shut her eyes and continued chafing her hands up and down her arms as a bizarre electrical charge seemed to ripple through the air inside the tiny bedroom.
“Well, I think it’s safe to say that you are now very much a cat person. Or, at least this cat’s person,” a deep, sexy voice rumbled from the bed. “More specifically, you’re this panther’s person.”
Alexa’s eyes popped open as that rich, deep voice seemed to vibrate through her being. Screaming as she spotted an extremely real — and from what she could tell (even in the darkness) was an oh, so very naked man in her bed — she quickly lunged for the nearest makeshift weapon she could find. Sadly for her, the closest missile she could find was only her television remote, and that merely bounced off her interloper’s sculpted chest.
“Ouch!” her prowler growled, batting away the remote as she continued to screech, blindly searching for another weapon in the mostly dark bedroom. “Alexa, chère, settle down!”
Wait a second? Why did her trespasser know her name? And why did that southern drawl sound so familiar? Making a half-turn on her not-so-steady feet, Alexa fumbled for the light switch on the wall, relieved when her searching fingers found what they were looking for. Flicking the switch, she squinted as her unfocused eyes tried to adjust when the room was suddenly flooded with bright, artificial light. Finally able to see a few seconds later, she couldn’t help emitting a small squawk as she saw the nude man lounging in the center of her bed.

Review
While shifter stories aren’t usually my thing, Sarah O’Rourke is an author whose work I always enjoy. I’m also a big fan of smutty, insta-love novellas about obsessed alpha males claiming their women. I dove into Cat Scratch Fever with an open mind and hopeful heart, but I needn’t have worried. I’ve never been disappointed by this talented author twosome, and they didn’t let me down with this one.
A sweet yet very sexy story, Cat Scratch Fever had that spark of Southern flair that is classic Sarah O’Rourke. I adore this author’s sense of humor, it’s quirky and sassy, and it was liberally threaded into the fast-paced plot of this novella. I loved Beau and Alexa, and their first moments together were purrfect. (Sorry, I really couldn’t resist.) Beau was confident and certain, and while Alexa needed a bit of coaxing and a moment to wrap her head around everything, she had faith and she trusted her gut, and her heart, with Beau.
This was a quick read that I devoured it in one sitting. It never felt rushed or under-developed, and this is exactly what I hope for when I’m looking to escape into the pages of a short but smutty story. Full of witty humor, sultry heat and a swoony romance, Sarah O’Rourke’s Cat Scratch Fever gets five smooches from me!

Review
Where Good Girls Go To Die was my first time reading Holly Renee, and I really enjoyed it. When I first received this title from my blogger boss, I was expecting something along the lines of a mystery/thriller/romantic suspense. I was surprised after reading the blurb to discover that this was actually a big brother’s best friend/second chance romance.
The story shifts between present day and four years earlier, and it’s through those flashback chapters that you see the teenage Parker and Liv fall in love and what drove them apart. When they meet again a few years later, it’s under extremely awkward circumstances. Liv winds up returning home after that incident, and despite their efforts to avoid each other, fate and their friends intervene, and slowly their lives begin intertwining with one another’s. There were parts where my heart truly hurt for this couple. There was so much pain and heartbreak between them, but the love was also still there and so was their unmistakable chemistry. Things aren’t quite so cut and dry, though, and they have a lot to deal with on the way to their reconciliation.
Where Good Girls Go To Die is jam-packed with emotion and angst, and Holly Renee did a fantastic job using it to build the layers of this couple’s relationship. Four smooches from me!

Effie is a struggling violinist who is trying to pick up the pieces of her life but it isn’t going well and being flat broke on top of that isn’t helping. But everything changes when one night she meets Elias, someone she thinks is struggling just as much as her but as it turns out that’s not quite true…. in fact he is a member of one of the hottest bands in the world. What will happen when their worlds collide? When Effie finds out the truth? And will they both be able to realise what they have in each other and not let obstacles stand in the way of their HEA.

This was a interesting, quirky, romantic, funny and refreshingly real romance with hero’s and heroine’s who both have demons.
“This wasn’t going to last. Bliss never lasted – it disappeared in an instant.”
I really loved Effie! She was so real and honest. It was refreshing to read about a heroine who is not perfect. Effie had real demons and issues and was struggling with trying to get back on her feet. Despite this her strength and determination to get back on her feet was admirable and I was really rooting for her. Elias was also a really likeable character. He was going through his own struggles but his obvious adoration of Effie was so sweet to read about and was really swoon worthy to read about. I honestly think they matched each other perfectly and could help mend each others broken pieces.
‘”I know this sucks to hear, but if he can’t deal with your past, then he can’t deal with your future. That’s not love, Eff. That’s conditonal. Real love heals and forgives.”‘
The story was really easy to read because the characters felt so real and had personalities you easily connected with and fell in love with. We have a real, interesting, beautiful read of two people both struggling in their own way and both needing help to move on and get back to their happy selves. The plot really is about following Effie and Elias on the journey of their relationship and their recovery- we of course have drama and obstacles and I both laughed and cried throughout the book which I really liked because in the darkness you need light to help balance it out.
“Making music, making love, and making each other laugh—life with his half orange was pretty damn sweet.”
Really captivating, beautiful characters and a real, honest and sometimes hard story about a two people trying to find their way and build a relationship with each other.

Review
Kendrick has hit rock bottom, being forced to leave the band he loves because of an awful contract that was forced upon him, the wife he loves to bits but he that he has had to hide from the world has enforced a separation and he’s in AA to try and stop his drinking after drunk driving and crashing. But once you hit rock bottom, the only way you can go is up right? Kendrick is determined to right all the wrongs, get back his beautiful wife Eliza and expose the person who helped destroy his band, family life and happiness.
“Whatever she’s looking for, I hope she finds it soon, because I’m dying without her.”
I have been really hooked into band reads at the moment and Interlude was definitely up there with some of the best I have read over the last month or so. It was slightly different to the others as well because we focused a lot on one main guy and how he was struggling. Kendrick was an interesting character with a lot of depth and I really felt for him throughout the story.
“Then I lean in and kiss her tenderly on the cheek. Like an addict, I just can’t seem to help myself. The only thing I crave more than alcohol is touching her.”
Kendrick was really the main character throughout. He was a complicated guy, he was really having a hard time of it and wasn’t afraid to show it and ask for help which I really admired. I loved his dedication to his wife Eliza and although he shouldn’t have shouldered all of the guilt he did, it was another admirable trait that he wanted to fix so many wrongs of those people in his life.
“Just the sound of my love’s name is enough to make me soften. He has no idea just how much I get it. No matter what happens with my marriage, for me there will never be any moving on from Eliza—she’s it for me.”
Then we had Eliza and all the other band members and their friends. I liked that Eliza stuck to her guns with their separation because she knew they needed it and that Kendrick needed to get better and happier without her constant support. The fact she was still supported him and helped him in his darkest moments showed the depth of their love for each other. All the other guys in the band had well developed personalities and their relationships with each other were entertaining to read and I can’t wait to read each of their stories.
“I sing of how my post-FourMain life has been waiting for me, and though I have no idea what lies ahead, I won’t be alone—my family, friends, and fans will support me.”
This wasn’t your classic rock and roll novel and instead we were able to really delve into one specific person and be with them step by step as they struggled and fought to put their life back together again. Because of this, I was easily dragged into and hooked on the read because I felt so invested in finding out in Kendrick would finally get back to a happy life. There was no shortage of plot lines to keep you entertained; trying to determine if Eliza and Kendrick would get back together, if the other guys in FourMain were hiding secrets themselves and what was going to happen when THAT book was released. The story flowed really well and the characters were easy to connect to and I am genuinely looking forward to coming back to the FourMain group and reading more about the other members.
