Ego Maniac by Vi Keeland Review Tour

The night I met Drew Jagger, he’d just broken into my new Park Avenue office.
I dialed 9-1-1 before proceeding to attack him with my fancy new Krav Maga skills.
He quickly restrained me, then chuckled, finding my attempted assault amusing.
Of course, my intruder had to be arrogant.
Only, turned out, he wasn’t an intruder at all.
Drew was the rightful occupant of my new office. He’d been on vacation while his posh space was renovated.
Which was how a scammer got away with leasing me office space that wasn’t really available for rent.
I was swindled out of ten grand.
The next day, after hours at the police station, Drew took pity on me and made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. In exchange for answering his phones while his secretary was out, he’d let me stay until I found a new place.
I probably should have acted grateful and kept my mouth shut when I overheard the advice he was spewing to his clients. But I couldn’t help giving him a piece of my mind.
I never expected my body to react every time we argued. Especially when that was all we seemed to be able to do.
The two of us were complete opposites. Drew was a bitter, angry, gorgeous-as-all-hell, destroyer of relationships. And my job was to help people save their marriages.
The only thing the two of us had in common was the space we were sharing.
And an attraction that was getting harder to deny by the day.

REVIEW
This book was so much fun!! I’ve read a few books by Vi Keeland, and I’ve enjoyed them all, but this one is definitely my favorite by her! She always gives her readers a well-written, well-developed witty and sexy story, so it’s no surprise that Egomaniac was all of that. In the very beginning of the book, Ms. Keeland quotes an unknown by stating “Sometimes what you’re looking for comes when you’re not looking at all.” It’s been a weird book week for me, a bit hung over from another book, I just couldn’t make up my mind what I wanted to read so I was relieved when this landed on my Kindle making the decision for me. Turns out that what I was looking for was this book!
“You’re really a giant egomaniac.”
“So I’ve been told.”
The book is titled Egomaniac, so obviously the hero, Drew, was going to be a cocky, arrogant, full-of-himself alpha-hole. I totally expected that going in, and Drew didn’t disappoint. A seriously jaded divorce attorney, Drew was a giant, well, egomaniac. But see, the thing is he had his reasons, and even though I’m loathe to dismiss his sometimes boorish and always crass behavior, I can admit that they were valid. The thing is that wasn’t all there was to him. As the book unfolds, Drew’s story is told and my heart hurt for him. Underneath all his egotistical overconfidence is something else entirely. I liked that guy—I really, really liked him, and I loved the way he was with Emerie.
“Some of the best times in life come from bad ideas.”
I loved Emerie. She was the exact opposite of Drew not only professionally, as a saver of marriages to his severer of them, but also with her sunny outlook, her positive attitude and her faith and belief in relationships. Emerie relocated from Oklahoma to New York City, to be closer to the man she was in love with, a man who never saw her as more than a friend. A bit naïve, Emerie soon learns some hard truths when she’s swindled out of her life savings, leaving her broke and officeless. It’s on that day, what is arguably the worst day of her life, that Emerie meets Drew and even as her professional world is imploding around her, she still manages to charm him with her quirky sense of humor, her mad Krav Maga skills and her fantastic ass. In a completely uncharacteristic turn of events, Drew makes her an offer she cannot refuse, and they strike a deal to temporarily share Drew’s office space. It isn’t long before they’re sharing more than just an office together.
“Maybe, just maybe, neither one of us had found the right one before now…because we hadn’t met each other yet.”
What starts out as a flirty and fun friendship, quickly builds into much more as the simmering attraction between them bubbles right there under the surface. Taking the time to get to know each other, a solid foundation of friendship was laid before they took it any further. Once they crossed that line, though, there was no going back. They were explosively hot together! So, so sexy together and don’t even get me started on that filthy, dirty mouth on him. I was swept up into this surprisingly sweet relationship right along with Drew and Emerie. For such an anti-relationship guy, Drew slid right into one with Emerie like it was his favorite pair of slippers. He had some serious trust issues to work out, and the drama of his conniving, miserable ex was an ever-present reminder to him not to do so easily. But in his most difficult moments, Emerie’s patience and kindness worked their magic on him.
“You’re the red in my black and white world.”
I loved this book! Vi Keeland does the cocky, arrogant hero so well, but Drew was special. His story made my heart ache and had my blood boiling for him. As funny as it was sexy, this was also a sweet and romantic love story that I just could not put down. Vi Keeland’s Egomaniac gets five smooches from me!

I’m a woman on a mission when I step off my last flight at six o’clock at night, annoyed it took me an entire freaking day to get here since I made my plans at the last minute. As soon as I leave the rental car desk, I’m headed for my first destination. Logan’s shop.
He’s never going to know what hit him. My skirt is short, my heels are tall, and my hair, skin, and nails are perfect from the pampering I managed to sneak in this week.
I pull into the parking lot an hour and a half later, mostly because I was so busy singing along to every kick-ass female anthem on my playlist that I missed the turn and went fifteen miles in the wrong direction.
But no one needs to know that little detail.
The lights are still on, and Logan’s truck is parked in its normal spot alongside the building. No other cars remain in the lot.
I pull out my phone and switch it out of airplane mode. I told myself I kept it there all day because I was worried about the safety of my flights and obviously because of the FAA regulations, but that’s total bull.
I didn’t trust myself not to answer what must be at least a few messages from Logan. I wanted this to be a surprise. Like when Logan thought I might be pregnant, this is a discussion that needs to happen in person.
A few text messages pop up from him immediately, and they’re progressively more . . . let’s call it assertive.
My Sexy Man: Bruce, call me.
My Sexy Man: Seriously, babe. Call me.
My Sexy Man: CALL ME.
My Sexy Man: This radio silence shit will not fly. Call me, Bruce.
My Sexy Man: Banner Regent, don’t even try to dodge me. I know where you are, and I will come to you and show you how a real man handles this situation.
A smile spreads over my face. I’ve come to terms with a few things in the last twenty-four hours, and one of them is that I don’t care if I’m the first one to say those words I’ve been holding back. I love Logan Brantley, and I’m not going to let another day go by without telling him. To his face.
After I park, I slide out of the car, careful not to pull a Britney and flash anyone my vag because I’m going commando under this skirt, and strut my ass up to the entrance.
I push on the door that opens into the waiting room, but it doesn’t budge. Locked. Well, dammit, that’s not part of my plan. I bang on it, but no one comes. The beat of whatever rock song he’s listening to is thumping through the walls.
I pull my phone out of my wristlet and text him back.
Banner: Open the damn door.
A response pops up in seconds.
My Sexy Man: What door?
Banner: I’m waiting.

From USA Today bestselling author Meghan March comes a sexy new duet. We’ve all had the bad boys, now it’s time for a Real Good Man.
Fall for a woman over text messages? No way in hell.
Reality can never be as good at the fantasy, right?
Wrong. It’s better.
Banner Regent is smart, funny, and she’s so far out of my league, she might as well be royalty.
I’m a mechanic from Kentucky. She’s a New York City party girl.
We were never supposed to meet, but one text started something neither of us saw coming.
How do you seduce the woman who already has everything?
Show her what it’s like to be with a real good man.
Real Good Man is book one of the Real Duet. Logan and Banner’s story will conclude in Real Good Love, releasing January 17, 2017.

REVIEW
We are thrown right back into Logan and Banner’s turbulent relationship and as with Real Good Man we are not in for an easy ride with these two. Feisty, passionate, explosive and off the charts chemistry, all combine to conclude this great duet love story!
“I wouldn’t give a single f*** if she showed up naked at my door on her knees. The only woman I want is you.”
Real Good Man for me hooked on Banner and Logan’s relationship and I couldn’t wait to dive into this one to find out how it concluded. And I wasn’t disappointed at all. Logan and Banner are both great characters that you could really get connected with and I fell in love with both of their personalities in the first book. With this one, the qualities I originally loved about them just grew – Logan and his charm, witty banter, and the way he adores Banner and Banner’s ability to face the dramas in her life head on, her ability to give it back just as good as Logan gives it and how much she loves Logan.
“I look up in the mirror after I hang up, and I’m not sure I’ve ever seen this big of a smile on my own face before. I’m in deep.”
The story is packed full of drama to keep you hooked from start to finish. We are have crime, back stabbing, danger, arguments and those jealous woman who will stop at nothing to get their hands on Logan. We have light hearted moments with the banter between Logan and Banner and the steamy s** scenes so when the drama stops we still have plenty to keep us reading.
“What the hell would I do without a real man to keep me in line? My vibrators might be amazeballs, but they’re no substitute for you.”
Logan and Banner have a very mature relationship, despite the dramas happening to them, they always remain loyal to each other and actually communicate with each other- which is a refreshing change. A thoroughly enjoyable finish for two characters who I fell in love with!

So let’s get this straight.
This is a story about romance.
Well, it’s not a story. I mean, it’s not something somebody made up. It’s about me. And yeah, in case you’re wondering, I’m a guy.
Surprised? Sure you are. You figure those words just don’t go together. Romance, with a capital R. Guy, with a capital G. You’re probably sitting there and smirking. What could a dude possibly know about romance? You figure we’re big on sex. But romance?
You’re right.
Romance is not a male thing.
And that’s exactly my problem.
The bottom line is that whatever you think you know about men and romance is pretty much correct. You figure we’re big on the F-word as long as it stands for Fuck and not Forever.
EXCERPT
Matthew O’Malley is one hell of a catch. He’s rich, handsome, charming, smart—and every woman who’s slept with him says he’s fantastic in bed.
This is all true, but he’s also a guy who got where he is today by working hard and by hiring the best people.
Bailey Abram is one of those people. She’s Matthew’s PA. She’s loyal, efficient, brilliant—and she’s never been with a man in her life.
Suddenly, it’s crisis time. Bailey’s cousin is getting married and Bailey’s mother insists she come home for the wedding. Bailey refuses. She and her cousin have a long, unpleasant history. Bailey was the straight A student. Violet was the prom queen and she’s never let Bailey forget it. So Bailey tells a huge lie. She can’t come to the wedding, she says, because she’s going away for the weekend with a rich, gorgeous, sexy guy.
Matthew overhears this. And he sees her burst into tears when she ends the call to her mother. He hates to see Bailey so unhappy. After all, this is his PA. His dedicated paragon of efficiency. Impulsively, he offers to help. Why not go to the wedding with her? Play the part of her rich, gorgeous, sexy boyfriend?
So what if it means spending four intense days getting to know each other outside the office? So what if it means turning Bailey from a woman who dresses like somebody’s maiden aunt into a hot-looking babe? So what if it means teaching her how to touch him and be touched by him, kiss him and be kissed by him? There won’t be any real sex because it’s only a game.
Right?
That’s all it is.
Just a smoking-hot, set-fire-to-the-sheets game.

Then, one day, she paused long enough to realize her dream was getting away from her and decided to do something about it.
Sandra wrote her very first novel, a romance she called Rapture in the Sands. She sent a synopsis and one chapter to several publishers. A senior editor at Harlequin liked what she’d read and asked to see the rest. After revisions, Harlequin Mills and Boon Ltd bought and published the book.

At Carter Manor, women were groomed to become the perfect next trophy wife for the most influential and powerful men in the world.
Polished, educated, and disciplined… they met every criteria.
Or did they?
LILA
After escaping two prospective husbands, I knew I didn’t have much of a choice anymore but to play by the rules if I didn’t want to end up back in the streets.
Upon meeting him I expected an older disgusting man, but he proved me wrong.
He was young, handsome… and despicable.
His cold hearted behavior and condescension caused me to lose my carefully built appearance of sophistication, but somehow, it made me win a husband who enjoyed toying with me until he could break the last pieces of who I used to be. I wouldn’t let him.
I hated him.
At least I did at first, until I had a peek underneath his walls and discovered the kind of pain he shouldered.
MATHIS
I never thought I’d get married and even less that I would be purchasing my wife, but for my business I would do anything.
At the Manor, I was sure I’d find bland women so polished that nothing of their own personality was left. But one candidate couldn’t hide the fire in her.
I was drawn, ready to toy with her, to tease her until she folded for me and let me take her to make her fully mine and not in name only.
I didn’t want love, I didn’t want her to be in my living space and I certainly didn’t want her to see who I really was under the facade I had spent years shaping myself to be, but that was exactly what was happening.
She fascinated me.
Her strength made me want her in the most all-consuming way.
Now I wondered who possessed whom.

Excerpt:
I’m not playing.’’
His head tilted, eyes on mine and lips in between his teeth, it was difficult for me to stay put and wait for his next move. My whole body buzzed with need, with an urgency I didn’t remember ever feeling in the past. Not to this extreme.
He released his lower lip from the trap of his white teeth and I let my eyes enjoy the spectacle of his lip, darker than before and with a slight shine to it. Tasting him, hearing the hitch in his breathing, feeling his hardened cock… that was all I wanted, all that mattered at that moment. I was reduced to a mindless pool of lust and it didn’t even register in my head to be cautious and to second guess what would happen.
“Aren’t you?’’ he asked and finally moved
He took a step inside and closed the door without tearing his eyes from me. With one quick glance on his left he dropped his keys in the big pot on the console and then walked toward me, his eyes boring into me.
That stare alone was foreplay.
It spoke of touches, intimate and teasing. It spoke of kisses. It spoke of sex without holding back. It spoke of orgasms, powerful and probably blinding.
I didn’t move from my seat, sure that if I attempted to stand up I’d make a fool of myself with the pinpricks in my legs telling me how wobbly I was. But I didn’t need to anyway because in no time he was towering over me, his eyes on mine as I had my head tilted back so as not to break eye contact. It wasn’t even a conscious decision not to. I was trapped, enthralled and at his mercy.
He wanted to break my resolve, to shatter my vows and ruin the person I had been groomed to become and he succeeded in a matter of a few short days.
“Does that mean you want me, little wife?’’
His eyes then left mine and deliberately fell down to my cleavage. The path his dark orbs took warmed me, drawing out goosebumps, and I shivered when I realized the kind of perfect view he must have from above, down the v of my cashmere sweater.
“I want an orgasm,’’ I replied in a bout of defiance as my eyes landed on his slightly parted lips. “That’s all.’’
He crouched in front of me, bringing his head to the same level as mine. The closeness that had me gasping silently. His nose grazed mine and his mouth was just a breath away from mine, tantalizing, teasing. He was always teasing. Playing with me. Toying with me.

Chapter One
Shaft
“Fuck man,” I groan, all but falling down in the chair.
“Rough day old man?” Briar asks, and I flip him off. Bastard has a right to laugh. He and his old lady, Stephanie conveniently picked today to spend at Cumberland Falls. Conveniently, because today is the day the rest of the brothers and myself worked like fucking dogs, fixing up the outside of the club for BB and Diego’s birthdays. BB is a nickname for Torch and Katie’s little boy, and Diego is the president, Skull and his old lady Beth’s son. The two women are sisters and somehow managed to have kids on the exact same day just minutes apart. The Pres is going all out to make sure there’s a huge celebration for the boys’ second birthday.
It sure as hell don’t feel like they should be two already. Time flies fast, and damn if my body ain’t living proof of that today. I feel old all the way down to my bones. I’ve been a sworn in member of the Devil’s Blaze for the last two years, getting the nod from the other members during all that shit with Beth, Katie and the fucking Donahues.
It’s what I wanted, what I worked for, not even minding that I was serving as a pledge with men ten or more years younger than me. Now at forty, I’m probably one of the oldest members. It didn’t used to bother me, but lately I’m feeling like I missed out on something. Especially when men my age, or close to it have all settled down with old ladies, and here I am alone.
It’s not like I haven’t had relationships, I have. It’s just none of them are even slightly memorable. More often than not, I wish to hell I could forget them. I look through the room and it’s mostly quiet. The new prospects are partying with a few of the club girls. Even that—easy pussy, doesn’t interest me tonight and that is just fucking depressing. The club needs new women or something. Hell, maybe I need to get off my ass and get out and find a woman, a woman of my own. That just seems like too much fucking effort right now. Especially when I’ve been breaking up cement and shit all day to make way for the new patio that’s being poured tomorrow. My back hurts like a motherfucker.
“I think I’m crashing for the night brother,” I tell Briar, taking the last swig of my beer.
“Damn, you are getting old,” he says with a chuckle as he shakes his head.
“Nothing here seems to be holding my interest tonight. Club needs some new talent.”
“You need to settle down brother. Find you a good woman like my Steph,” he boasts.
“I think all the good ones are probably gone.”
“Nah, they’re still out there. Just hard to find,” Briar says.
I look around the room one last time. Just as I’m about to write the night off as a loss, she walks in.
“Who’s that?”
He looks around the room. “Who?”
“The chick that just walked through the door,” I tell him without taking my eyes off her. She’s fucking beautiful, and I don’t mean that in a normal way. Hell no, this chick could have just walked off the pages of a magazine. She’s got hair that you can’t really call blonde. It’s like multiple colors, blonde on top then slowly shifting to darker locks on the bottom, and every now and then there’s a strand of almost white. It’s cut so it curves toward a perfect face reaching below her shoulders. She’s got red lips that could make any man beg—including me. She’s wearing a black jacket, not leather, it’s more polished, expensive, though the look is similar. Under that she has a white shirt that clings to tight, perky breasts that are easily a ‘C’ cup. Perfect size to fill my large hands. Tight blue jean shorts that cling to her curvy ass and show off long fucking legs, that’d I’d give my eye teeth to feel wrapped around me. She’s wearing flip flops and fuck, even her toes are sexy, painted clear with bright white tips. There’s a silver ring around one of her toes and even that looks sexy. She looks around like she’s searching for someone. Me baby. You’re definitely searching for me.
Almost as if she can hear me, she looks at me. Those sweet red lips give into a smile, and I need her closer, so I can tell exactly what color those eyes are. I can feel my dick hardening. I reach down under the table to adjust him. I’ll be letting him play tonight, that’s for damn sure. I stare straight at the woman of my dreams. Is it coincidence that her tongue comes out to brush against her top lip, or is she trying to drive me in- fucking –sane?
“Down boy.” Briar puts his hand on my chest as if to hold me back. “That’s not for you.”
“Why the fuck not?” I shove his hand away. “She been claimed by one of the other brothers?” Please say no. Briar laughs, and as much as I hate it, I pull my eyes away from my dream woman and look at him. “What the fuck do you find so funny?”
“The fact that you’re setting yourself up for a whole hell of a lot of trouble.”
“Quit talking in circles, Briar. I got more important shit to do.” Like her.
“Not with her you don’t.”
“You’re starting to piss me off man.”
“That girl is off limits.” His tone is hard and matter of fact.
“Says who?”
His eyes harden. “Her family.”
“Give me a break. Do I look like I give a fuck?” What the fuck has he been moking?
“You might on this one.”
“I doubt it.”
“It’s your funeral.”
Standing up, I ignore the son of a bitch. My dick is so hard I could lay fucking bricks. I’ve got a much softer place in mind for him though.
“Something else might talk you out of it though.”
“I doubt it,” I repeat, walking toward my future.
“She’s jailbait,” he calls out after me.
Motherfucker. I stop mid-step, and I swear my dick would cry if he could.
