Scoring Her by Max Monroe Review
4 Smooches
Synopsis
The end of the Billionaire Bad Boy era, the series comes to a close.
From Kline and Benny to Wes and Winnie with Thatch and Cassie in between, spend time with the characters that have stolen the hearts of both each other and readers alike, and meet the men of the upcoming spinoff series Mavericks Tackle Love.
Review
Max Monroe has yet again given us a book with heart, humor and so much steam my house windows were fogged after reading it. If you have been falling along in the series than you have already met all the characters in this story and I am confident you have fallen in love with them all. Scoring her is the official end to the series and brings all the story lines together on a fun vacation in the Caribbean.
“It’s okay not to be strong. It’s okay to be sad. But, baby, I want you to remember that no matter what, we will always get through it. No matter what, it will always be me and you, hand in hand, standing side be side and facing every difficulty and challenge together.”
Scoring Her is a fast and fun read that melted my heart. Plus, the dynamic as a group cracked me up and had me laughing out loud. Lexi is probably still the best character ever and if you haven’t met her yet you need to go back and read Scoring The Billionaire ASAP. Lovers of the series don’t want to miss this sweet conclusion to see how each couples ends up. Loved it and I can’t wait to see what Max Monroe brings us next.

Size Matters by Alison Bliss Review
4 Smooches
Synopsis
The rules of (fake) engagement . . .
Leah Martin has spent her life trying to avoid temptation. But she’s sick of low-fat snacks, counting calories, and her hyper-critical mom. Fortunately, her popular new bakery keeps her good and distracted. But there aren’t enough éclairs in the world to distract Leah from the hotness that is Sam Cooper – or the fact that he just told her mother that they’re engaged . . . which is a big, fat lie.
Sam sometime speaks before he thinks. So what started out as defending Leah’s date-ability to her judgmental mother soon turned into having a fiancee! Now the plan is to keep up the fake engagement, stay “just friends,” and make Leah’s family loathe him enough to just call the whole thing off . But Sam has an insatiable sweet tooth, not only for Leah’s decadent desserts but her decadent curves. Her full lips. Her bright green eyes. Yep, things aren’t going quite according to plan. Now Sam has to convince Leah that he’s for real . . . before their little lie turns into one big, sweet disaster.
Review
‘God, I need to be inside this woman. And with that revelation, his entire existence shattered.’
Size Matters is a delightfully fun story that had me giggling and smiling the entire time I read it. Sam and Leah were just a complete breath of fresh air and while a little communication might have solved many a problem (but really what romance book is this not true for) watching them struggle to get it all right was fun and exciting. Sam was swoony and sexy and curvy baker Leah was a heroine we can all see ourselves in. Plus she had me hooked at FAKE ENGAGEMENT! Anyone else a sucker for that?
Alison Bliss has such smooth and natural comedic timing that the banter and one liners seem to only add to the love story and not distract from it. While stories written in third person are not typically my favorite, I have never had a problem with Alison’s books. Her writing is so fluid and clean that I just get lost in the book.
“Maybe you should tell me what it is you expect me to do.” “I expect you to not tell people we’re engaged when we aren’t.” “Too late.”
Size Matters was a great way to spend a lazy afternoon on the couch and I am beyond excited to get my hands on a copy of On The Plus Side. If the bits of Val that we got in this book are any indication to how great her book will be I am counting the days till I can read it.

A Veil Of Vines by Tillie Cole Release Blitz with Excerpt
But for some, these frivolous fancies are truth.
For some, they are real life.
On Manhattan’s Upper East Side, people have always treated me as someone special. All because of my ancestral name and legacy. All because of a connection I share to our home country’s most important family of all.
I am Caresa Acardi, the Duchessa di Parma. A blue blood of Italy. I was born to marry well. And now the marriage date is set.
I am to marry into House Savona. The family that would have been the royals had Italy not abolished the monarchy in 1946. But to the aristocrats of my home, the abolition means nothing at all.
The Savonas still hold power where it counts most.
In our tight-knit world of money, status and masked balls, they are everything and more.
And I am soon to become one of them.
I am soon to become Prince Zeno Savona’s wife…
… or at least I was, until I met Achille.
And everything changed.
A few minutes later, the thick woods cleared, and I gasped. Acres and acres of gold and green vineyards covered the landscape. The scents of plump grapes and damp soil permeated the warm air. I closed my eyes. It reminded me of being a child. It brought me back to the days before I was taken to New York. I could still feel the heat of the Emilia-Romagna sun on my face, the deep smell of olives, grapes and flowers drifting in the breeze as I ran around our Parma estate.
I smiled a nostalgic smile and allowed my eyes to drift open again. I rested my arms on the window and leaned my chin on them as the limo drove on. There were several small villas peppered over the landscape, their lights twinkling in the distance. They must have been the winemakers’ residences. It was not only the Bella Collina merlot that was made on this land; other reds were too—particularly the Chianti from the region’s finest Sangiovese grapes. The Bella Collina olive oil was also up there with the best. But nothing compared to the famed merlot.
The limo turned right, and my breath caught in my throat. I lifted my head and stared disbelievingly at the property ahead. Bella Collina was a veritable Palace of Versailles tucked away in the Umbrian wilderness.
“Mio Dio,” I whispered as I took in the imposing stone structure, the sweeping steps and the vast number of windows set in the building’s walls. Large pillars of red-veined marble flanked the entrance. Cypress trees framed the estate as if it were the shining star of a fine Renaissance painting. Sculptures of famed Savona monarchs of old stood proudly on the manicured lawns, and strategically placed lighting illuminated the sheer perfection of every piece of topiary.
As a child, I had been to the Palazzo Savona in Florence. It was widely regarded to be one of the finest estates in all of Italy, if not western Europe. But this . . . this . . . there were no words. It was perfectly placed, as if it had always been there. As if it had grown naturally from the Umbrian earth just as sure as the vines and woods that kept this architectural treasure hidden from view.
After graduating from Newcastle University with a BA Hons in Religious Studies, Tillie followed her Professional Rugby player husband around the world for a decade, becoming a teacher in between and thoroughly enjoyed teaching High School students Social Studies before putting pen to paper, and finishing her first novel.
Tillie has now settled in Austin, Texas, where she is finally able to sit down and write, throwing herself into fantasy worlds and the fabulous minds of her characters.
Tillie is both an independent and traditionally published author, and writes many genres including: Contemporary Romance, Dark Romance, Young Adult and New Adult novels.
When she is not writing, Tillie enjoys nothing more than curling up on her couch watching movies, drinking far too much coffee, while convincing herself that she really doesn’t need that extra square of chocolate.

Sweet Girl by Sierra Hill Review
3.5 Smooches
Synopsis
Kylah
I’ve always lived in the shadows of my athletic older brother and my charismatic twin sister. And that’s okay by me. I don’t mind being known as the shy wallflower. The gawky geek. The sweet, virginal girl. Well, that’s one label I’ve been trying to shed since starting my freshman year in college this year. The thing is, no one’s ever looked twice at me.
Until I met Van Gerard.
He notices me. He looks at me and seems to like what he sees. He understands and listens to me. He’s become a great friend. The problem is, I don’t want him as a friend.
I want more.
But my brother – along with a state line between us, and oh yeah, Van’s long-time girlfriend – are just a few complications getting in the way of what I want.
Van
I thought my senior year in college would be the best time of my life. I’m a starter on a Pac-12 basketball team, set to graduate with a degree in Finance. I have a girlfriend whom I’d planned to start a future with. I thought my life was already mapped out.
But then the bottom dropped out with a confession I never expected to hear, from the girl I thought I knew.
I thought wrong.
Luckily for me, Kylah Griffin was there to break my fall. She’s the best thing this year has given me. She’s helped me through a devastating blow that could have sent me reeling.
I know she wants more, but I’m not sure I can give it. Now that I’ve been burned, I don’t think I can go there again. Kylah’s not a hook-up, and she’s definitely not a rebound. She’s a sweet girl who deserves more than to be friend-zoned.
If only things weren’t so complicated.
REVIEW
Kylah is the girl that everyone knows as the sweet, kind, shy girl who is overshadowed by her twin sister and older brother. She’s the friend and never the girlfriend, never even had a real date. But she’s ready for that to change…and she wants it to change with Van, her brothers friend. Someone she instantly clicks with but someone who views her as just the friend again…or maybe Van just wants to view her as a friend, maybe really he wants more as well, but with a girlfriend, big brothers and many other things in the way can these two ever get the chance to try and be together?
“If someone calls me ‘a sweet girl’ one more time, I’m liable to throat punch them. Not even kidding.”
This was one of those sweet romances. A romance you could easily get into and read and where you want the two main characters to sort themselves out and see that they are meant to be with each other, no matter what obstacles are being thrown into their path.
“I don’t want Van to be unhappy. I care too deeply for him. So if finding a way to work out whatever their problems are and remaining together will make him happy, then I’ll back him one hundred percent. I’ll bury my crush in order to remain friends with him.”
We have our heroine, Kylah, our sweet, innocent, smart girl but who also has a sassy and confident side to her that’s buried deep, just needing someone to help bring it out of her. She was someone I could easily connect with; her personality and what she perceives as her flaws being what I sometimes see in myself. Seeing her grow and develop into a more confident and happier within herself, young woman was really lovely to read about.
“Honestly, I was elated to finally let her know just how much I wanted her. It felt like the weight of a thousand-pound boulder was lifted off my chest when I wrapped her in my arms. Once I kissed her, there was no turning back.”
Our hero in the story is Van. I loved that he let Kylah be herself around him and that the way he was with her allowed Kylah to have the confidence to do that. I also loved that his integrity and that he knew in the beginning he couldn’t do anything with Kylah, no matter how he felt, because he had his girlfriend.
“I want to make this work. I’m so glad you came into my life when you did. I don’t deserve you, but I want you. I want you so much.”
There was plenty to keep us entertained throughout. Not only did we have the delight of watching Kylah grow, we also got to read the blossoming connection of Kylah and Van; the friendships, the confidant and person to lean on and eventually the realisation that they both have feelings for each other, feelings beyond friendship. It is no easy journey for these two; we have the drama of older brothers and girlfriends, of lack of courage and knowledge in what to do and the distrust in relationships and love after being hurt before….plenty to keep you reading and wanting to discover what happens next!

After We Fall by Melanie Harlow Release Blitz

After We Fall by Melanie Harlow
Publication Date: November 28th, 2016
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Synopsis:
Jack Valentini isn’t my type.
Sexy, brooding cowboys are fine in the movies, but in real life, I prefer a suit and tie. Proper manners. A close shave.
Jack might be gorgeous, but he’s also scruffy, rugged, and rude. He wants nothing to do with a “rich city girl” like me, and he isn’t afraid to say so.
But I’ve got a PR job to do for his family’s farm, so he’s stuck with me for ten days, and I’m stuck with him. His glares. His moods. His tight jeans. His muscles.
His huge, hard muscles.
Pretty soon there’s a whole different kind of tension between us, the kind that has me misbehaving in barns, trees, and pickup trucks. I’ve never done anything so out of character—but it feels too good to stop.
And the more I learn about the grieving ex-Army sergeant, the better I understand him. Losing his wife three years ago left him broken and bitter and blaming himself. He doesn’t think he deserves a second chance at happiness.
But he’s wrong.
I don’t need to be his first love. If only he’d let me be his last.
“Second chances are not given to make things right, but are given to prove that we could be even better after we fall.” —Unknown

Not So Temporarily Married by Fiona Davenport Release Blitz
Davenport
Contemporary/Erotic Romance
BLURB:
Zoe Elliot has resisted
Landon Heath’s advances, only because he’s her boss and she needs her job to
keep her work visa. But when she’s in danger of being deported, she agrees to
his crazy suggestion of getting married… temporarily, of course.
Landon wants the beautiful
Canadian for his own, and he’s not above using her situation to tie her to
him—permanently. He knows he has to move quickly, before she realizes they’re not
so temporarily married.
EXCERPT
I dug through the
pile and found the envelope she was referring to at the bottom. It was impossible
to miss with US Citizenship and Immigration Services listed on the upper left
corner.
“Crap. Crap. Crap,”
I chanted to myself as I tore it open. Then it turned to “fuck, fuck, fuck” as
my heart dropped. I read through the letter quickly the first time around, and
then much more slowly to make sure I wasn’t misunderstanding what it said.
Unfortunately, the meaning didn’t change the second time around.
“I’m fucked,” I
groaned.
“Not yet you
aren’t,” Landon growled from the door as he barged into my office and slammed
it shut. “If you were, I’d know it because I’d be the one doing the fucking.”
His raspy voice slid
over my skin and heated it. Just the sound of him talking had my panties wet,
and I’d been avoiding him all this time because I’d thought he’d be the reason
why I had visa problems.
“All those wasted
opportunities,” I muttered.
“Not wasted,” he
corrected. “Foreplay.”
“I don’t have time
for this right now, Landon. Not when my whole world is falling apart,” I cried,
waving the letter in the air.
“You sound as bad
as Samantha did when she told me to get my ass in here.” He tore it from my
hands, and I dropped my head to my desk while he read through the letter.
“It’s just an
additional interview, Zoe,” he said soothingly, in a failed attempt to calm me
down.
“My visa was approved by an
immigration officer at the border two months ago. It was easy peasy. I showed
him my TN visa application letter, my bachelor’s degree, and my passport. I
answered some questions about how long I planned to stay in the country. About how
often I planned to go home to see my family. Boom, I was approved. Which means
they shouldn’t have any additional questions for me,” I retorted as I jumped to
my feet and paced back and forth. “Except, someone apparently has it in for me
since they received a tip that I lied about my intent to stay here for only
three years. Who would do something like that?”
“Calm the fuck
down,” he ordered, as though it was that simple.
“Calm down?” I
parroted. “That’s easy for you to say since you’re not the one in danger of
being deported!”
“Neither are you.”
“I beg to
differ”—I stormed towards him and jabbed my finger in his chest, absently
noticing how firm it was—“since an appointment at an immigration field office
sure sounds like the start to yanking my work visa to me.”
“You know what?”
he drawled. “Don’t calm down. Feel free to freak the fuck out because in the
end that will work out even better for me.”
“What in the heck
are you talking about?”
“I’m talking about
you and me, Zoe. You’ve been denying what’s happening between us for two,
fucking long as hell months,” he growled, his eyes lit with determination.
“You’ve used your work visa as an excuse to keep yourself away from me. Well
guess what, Blondie? Giving in to me is your way out of this mess.”
“I still have
absolutely no idea what you mean. Maybe you can dumb it down for me since I’m
blonde and all,” I muttered sarcastically, not a big fan of his nickname for
me.
“Fine,” he bit
out. “I’ll make it as simple as one word—marriage.”
“What? No,” I
gasped. “We haven’t even been out on a date!”
“And whose fault
is that?” he countered. “It certainly wasn’t for a lack of trying on my part.
If I’d had my way, you wouldn’t have a single doubt about how damn serious I
am.”

Monday’s Promise by R.G. Corr Review
4 Smooches!
Synopsis
Promises lead to devastation.
They always have.
From the day he was born, Reid Banner had to fight for his place in life.
At the age of eight, he was already on his ninth foster placement: lonely, hurting, and with a heart full of broken promises. When he meets the Maddisons, life slowly but finally, moves forward, and Reid sees a way he may be able to make it in this world.
Then a promise is made…
Tragedy follows, forcing him to ride into the night and make a decision that changes the rest of his life.
Together, the Maddisons join Reid in battling their way through grief.
But when another promise is made…
The past that Reid hoped would never again darken his doors comes back to break him—jeopardising all that he cares for.
REVIEW
Reid Banner has never had it easy, in fact he’s had a down right horrible start to life. But when he meets Betts and her family he feels as though he can get things back on track. Things don’t stay this way for long though, and when tragedy strikes and Betts is taken away Reid spirals back in his dark path. But maybe Bea, Betts cousin, can drag him out? Maybe there was a reason Bett’s made Bea promise to look out for Reid? Has there been something there all along?
“I will promise you, Reid Banner, that life is out there waiting for you, and it’s going to be so much better than you could ever believe. Take risks, learn from your mistakes but never regret them.”
This was one of those romances where you know the main characters are not in for an easy ride. Their story is going to be hard fought and you will be with them every step of the way, no matter how heartbreaking or unfair it may be, because in the end you hope that they will overcome.
“And what’s that, Reid? What do you see?” I want to tell her that I see a woman who is being let down when she only deserves to be lifted. That when I was falling so hard it was her that caught me.”
Reid was a beautifully broken character. Having gone through plenty of heartache and rough times, he is. Is struggling to see much light in the world or to move beyond the grief. And yet he still manages to remain a character you instantly fall in love with. He tries so hard not to let his family and friends know how much he is struggling so he can protect them and still manages to make those he cares about smile. I loved his strength and caring nature and the fact he called Bea ‘pickles’…so cute. It is literally one my favourite nicknames given to a character now.
“They said wait until I’m ready. S***, I have no idea when that will be, if ever.”
Bea is also struggling in her life. Picking men who she knows deep down are all wrong for her and wearing a mask to keep others at length. You can tell right for the beginning there’s something more when it comes to her feelings for Reid but she is keeping that close to her heart. Again though Bea walks around with her head high, being a kind and caring person to those she cares about, as well as being feisty and strong and taking no s*** from Reid no matter how many times he pushes her buttons!
“I’m the biggest mistake she ever made, and there’s not a chance I’m going to let her make another one.”
This story was a huge rollercoaster of emotions from me and got me hook, line and sinker right from the beginning! I laughed at the witty comments thrown back and forth between Reid and Banner, and all the other secondary characters, who all let their individual personalities shine through. I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was going to happen; the mysterious sister who suddenly comes back into Reid’s life and trying to figure out if something happened between Bea and Reid. Basically a great story, with a really interesting plot line and characters who had real depth to them who I instantly felt a connection with!
“Betts asked me to promise her that I would be there for Reid. I knew when she asked me that I shouldn’t be that person. Time is supposed to heal, but all it has done is place him in my path over and over again. I’ve fought to remain invisible to him.”
