Review
The Heartbreakers and Heroes box set is full of swoony romance stories that made me smile, giggle and get a little heated. Each one was great on it’s own and as a whole the anthology delivered an entertaining collection of heartbreaking men and heroes and the women who love them.
I really enjoyed all of these love stories but Once a Heartbreaker by T.J. Kline and Reforming the Heartbreaker by Christine Glover but my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE was How To Be A Heartbreaker by Codi Gary. I have always loved Codi’s book for her ability to mix a good angsty story with a sweet small town romance and the second chance love of when action hero comes home and moves in next door to the girl whose heart he doesn’t even know he broke delivers just that.
If you are looking to dive into a whole bunch of alpha hero stories or if you want to read one here or there to break up reading full length books than this anthology is just perfect for you. There was not one story I didn’t enjoy so you really cannot go wrong.

He was out of the fucking car.

“Like hell you are.” I slammed the door and walked around the sleek Audi to stand right in front of him. I looked up at him and caught his gaze. “I can make it in and out of an elevator.”

A shriek escaped between my lips as he swung me upward and over his shoulder. I scrambled to keep hold of my purse, but he ignored me as he carried me inside and pushed the elevator button.
“West! Put me down right now!”

That made me stop rummaging for my keys and raise my eyebrows in disbelief. “You take off your clothes for a living, and the first time we met, you flexed your cock against my face.”

“Damn you and damn the way you wear a suit!’
I love a romantic comedy and it is clear from the beginning that Katherine Stevens is a very funny lady. Going Down is deliciously sexy and wickedly fun. For a debut novel this story was well written and very entertaining, Cici and Cole have an instant attraction when stuck in a broken elevator together and that instant attraction turned into a instant hook up. all is well and good until Cici finds out that Cole is her new assistant making her his boss. UH OH!
“I don’t think very clearly when you do that thing you do.” “What thing is that?” he asked as I raced toward the door. “That thing where you stand there and breathe and just generally exist on the planet.”
Going Down left me in a state of constant smiles and all around good feelings. The perfect antidote to a tough day, week, month or year. I loved Cole and he had me swooning all over the place. Cici was fun and strong and when she was with her BFF Maggie hilarity soon ensued. For a first book Katherine Stevens did a good job and I am excited to see what she gives us in the future.
