Stuck Up Suit by Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland Excerpt Reveal
Excerpt
It felt like we were the only two people in the world, instead of inside a busy, posh restaurant.
“This is beautiful. But odd,” I said.
Graham took off his jacket and settled into his side of the table with one arm casually slung over the top of the booth. “Fitting.”
“Are you saying I’m odd?”
“Are we going to fight about it if I say yes?”
“Probably.”
“Then, yes.”
My brow furrowed. “You want to fight with me?”
Graham tugged at his tie, loosening it. “I find it turns me on.”
I laughed. “I think you need counseling.”
“After the last few days, I believe you may be right.”
The waitress returned with our drinks. She set a highball glass down in front of him and a wine glass in front of me.
Graham had ordered Hendrick’s and tonic. “That’s an old man’s drink, gin and tonic,” I said as I sipped my wine.
He swirled the ice around in his glass, then brought it to his lips and looked at me over the rim before drinking. ”Remember what arguing with me does. You might want to look under the table.”
My eyes widened. “You aren’t.”
He smirked and cocked an eyebrow. “Go ahead. Put your head under. I know you’re dying to take a peek anyway.”
After we both finished our drinks, and some of my nerves had started to calm, we finally had our first real conversation. One that wasn’t about sex or tongue rings.
“So how many hours do you work a day in that big fancy office of yours?”
“I usually go in by eight and try to leave by eight.”
“Twelve hours a day? That’s sixty hours a week.”
“Not counting weekends.”
“You work weekends, too?”
“Saturdays.”
“So your only day off is Sunday?”
“I actually sometimes work in the evening on Sunday, too.”
“That’s nuts. When do you find time to enjoy yourself?”
“I enjoy my work.”
I scoffed. “Didn’t sound that way when I stopped in the other day. Everyone there seems afraid of you, and you refused to open the door.”
“I was busy.” He folded his arms over his chest.
I did the same. “So was I. I took two trains to personally deliver that phone, you know. And you didn’t have the decency to even come out and say thank you.”
“I didn’t know what was behind the door waiting for me, or I would have come out.”
“A person. A person was behind the door. One who went out of her way for you. If I were a sixty-year-old married woman with blue hair, you should have come out to thank me.”
He sighed. “I’m a busy man, Soraya.”
“Yet here you are on a weeknight at only 7PM. Shouldn’t you be working until eight if you’re so busy?”
“I make exceptions when warranted.”
“How big of you.”
He arched an eyebrow. “You want to look under the table, don’t you?”

It started out like any other morning on the train.
Until I became mesmerized by the guy sitting across the aisle.
He was barking at someone on his phone like he ruled the world.
Who did the stuck-up suit think he was…God?
Actually, he looked like a God. That was about it.
When his stop came, he got up suddenly and left. So suddenly, he dropped his phone on the way out.
I might have picked it up.
I might have gone through all of his photos and called some of the numbers.
I might have held onto the mystery man’s phone for days—until I finally conjured up the courage to return it.
When I traipsed my ass across town to his fancy company, he refused to see me.
So, I left the phone on the empty desk outside the arrogant jerk’s office.
I might have also left behind a dirty picture on it first though.
I didn’t expect him to text back.
I didn’t expect our exchanges to be hot as hell.
I didn’t expect to fall for him—all before we even met.
The two of us couldn’t have been any more different.
Yet, you know what they say about opposites.
When we finally came face to face, we found out opposites sometimes do more than attract—we consumed each other.
Nothing could have prepared me for the ride he took me on. And I certainly wasn’t prepared for where I’d wind up when the ride was over.
All good things must come to an end, right?
Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.

When I’m With You by Harper Sloan Excerpt and Release Date Reveal
We are very excited to announce the release date of When I’m With You by Harper Sloan. The release for the third book in the Hope Town series will be April 26.
Enjoy this sexy excerpt while you wait!

Nate:
It’s nearly impossible to be surrounded by love but not understand it. My parents, my sister, and just about everyone around us has no trouble accepting that love. To give your trust to someone else and believe they would die before hurting you. I’ve witnessed it—I’ve seen the power of it—but I’ve also seen the pain. Because for me, I’ve only loved someone I could never have, and my biggest fear is that by giving her my love, all I would do is ruin her. I should have tried harder, but I’m not sure I can because I only feel complete when I’m with her.
Emberlyn:
The only time I feel like I belong is when he’s near. His infectious smile warms me straight to my bones. Any insecurities I have vanish with just a wink from him. A sliver of his attention makes me feel invincible. But all it took was one drunken night of truths for me to lose everything I had begun to crave. Now, I’m not sure how to move on because I only feel complete when I’m with him.
He said I was too young. I said he was perfect. He said our families wouldn’t understand. I said we could weather any storm. He said he would ruin me. And he was right.
ADD TO GOODREADS
“I want you so bad,” I mumble through the arousal rushing and flowing over every inch of my body, tingling up every nerve and swimming around inside me in overdrive. “I’ve dreamed of this for so long,” I continue, my words coming out in a pant as I rock my hips.
“Ember,” he warns when I jerk my hips out of his unforgiving hold, giving us both the friction we’re in the need of when my wet and swollen lips slide against his erection. “Stop,” he barks in a deep rumble, his neck straining as he takes my hips again between his hands.
“Never.” I let my head roll back and start to pick up my movements, each thrust up getting the attention to my clit that has the burn in my core starting to fire up my spine, wrapping around me as it climbs through my body, gearing up to explode.
“Fuck!” he roars.
Before I realize what’s happening, he’s flipping us. My head lands in my pillows, just a breath away from the headboard in the center of my bed. It takes me a second, still clinging to the climax that had been just seconds away from taking over, and I push my hair off my face with both hands. When I look down my body, I almost retreat when I see the feral expression on the man kneeling between my spread legs.
He takes huge body rocking gulps of air, his chest heaving with their power. His hair is a loose mess hanging free to dance at his shoulders, a few pieces falling into his face that he either doesn’t notice or just doesn’t care about.
And his eyes are focused downward.
If I didn’t believe he was fighting the same all-consuming feelings as I was, I would have thought that his downcast gaze was for another reason, but seeing those brilliant emerald eyes locked on my very exposed and wet sex, I know that I’m the reason he’s being slammed with a hungered need.
The power I feel seeing his reaction to my excitement is a high I never want to live without. Something that I will wake up thinking about and fantasize every second we’re apart, trying to think of new ways to make him come alive like this. That uncontrollable, feverishly strong emotion he’s wearing can only be an aftereffect of our chemistry. Until it burns so bright that it’s exploding around us like a brilliantly beautiful display of fireworks.
And with that thought, he makes a sound low in his throat, pushing forward in the next breath to cover my body with his as his mouth takes mine in a deep, bruising kiss. His underwear still keeping him from me completely, but that doesn’t stop him from thrusting against my body as if he was already inside me. Each time he slams against me, the headboard slaps against the wall and my eyes roll back in my head.
It was foolish of me to think I would ever be able to control this man once I saw the fierceness burning in his scrutiny break free of his careful control. When I try to push my hands into his hair, he breaks our kiss with a hiss and narrows his eyes at me.
“You’re not to touch me, Ember. Not at all. I’m so worked up right now because of you. I’m about to fucking come all over myself and the only place that’s going to feel my fucking come will be the inside of your pussy. Do not test me by putting those wicked little hands on my body until I can take my time to show you what it’s really like to take while giving.”
“Please,” I rasp past my dry throat, needing that so desperately.
“No, not please. From this point on, the only word I want to hear from your lips is my name. Moan, groan, scream out your pleasure, but you say no other word than my name. I want to hear you scream that, Ember,” he stresses with a hard thrust. “You don’t come until I tell you to,” he rumbles deep in his throat. I lose his eyes as he bends to trace my ear with the tip of his tongue before whispering against it. “And when you do, you had better do it loud enough to feel pain in your throat from the pleasure I’ll give your pussy.”
“Take me,” I beg, trying to rock against him, but his weight on me restricts my movements.
“Nate,” he grunts in my ear. “No more fucking words but my name. Know who is claiming you. Let the whole fucking world hear who is taking you and making you his.”
He runs his hands up each of my arms, stretching them out until I can almost feel the edge of my mattress and his hands are curling around my fingers.
“Hold on,” he commands with a wink.

Review
‘I needed to kiss him. I wanted to yesterday, but today . . . it was crucial to my sanity.’
Roots and Wings is the first book in the City Limits series by M. Mabie. A huge departure from the angst and drama she is known for after The Wake Series. A light and easy read that focuses on the developing love of Vaughn and Mutt instead of any kinda of outside drama.
‘I was the daughter of a grease monkey who liked to fish. My hair was always a mess. I barely wore makeup, mostly because I wasn’t sure how to use half of the shirt. I wore boots, not heels. Jeans, not skirts. I drove a beat up Dodge truck. I wouldn’t even fuck me.’
The story was sweet and Vaughn was easy to fall in love with. Mutt was a slightly harder sell for me (and this is a personal preference of mine) because she is very tomboyish and I have recently found that books with female leads with those qualities are not my favorite. That being said I still really liked her and the more and more I read the book the more attached to her I got. While I didn’t personally connect with her I could appreciate all she has been through and how deeply Vaughn felt for her despite her being so vastly different than any woman he had been with before. The romance between them was a slow build but left you with a feel good feel in the end.
“The what is this, Vaughn?” she whispered. “It’s the beginning of everything.”
Overall, I enjoyed this sweet romance. M. Mabie is a beautiful writer and once again that showed through. If you are a fan of sweet love stories with a decent amount of heat than you will enjoy this, but if you crave gut wrenching drama then I want to assure you that you will not find any of that here. When she tells you that this story is “Low on drama. High on love.” that is exactly what it is. Don’t go in expecting any crazy plot twists or unforeseen problems but instead expect witting writing and the joy of watching two very different people fall in love.

Meet Dash Wallace
About the Author:

CD Reiss is a USA Today bestseller. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn’t pick up she’s at the well hauling buckets.
Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master’s degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere but it did give her a big enough ego to write novels.
She’s frequently referred to as the Shakespeare of Smut which is flattering but hasn’t ever gotten her out of chopping that cord of wood.
If you meet her in person, you should call her Christine.

Review
‘When I looked around he was gone. Good thing. There was nothing more offensive than a man blessed with good looks when he should have been given courtesy.’
WOW! OK so I went into this book expecting to like it but instead I LOVED it. Every. word. It was sexy, engaging, humorous, dramatic, perfect and flawed. Not only was I invested in the story but I felt a personal connection to the characters. Dash Wallace has suffered from many psychiatric issues since he was a small child, anxiety, aggression, OCD just to name a few but through all this he still persevered and became a star in his chosen field. As the mom of a child who suffers and survives with all of these syndromes this book was a breath of fresh air. It gave me hope for his happy future and for a moment made me feel less alone in the struggles of raising a difficult child.
Vivian Foster is a school librarian determined to make a difference. A longtime baseball fan she quickly volunteers to go with some of the underprivileged kids to meet some professional baseball players. Dash Wallace is sex personified but his personality quickly cools her crush on him. But a missing glove has him showing up at her library and soon he two are working together to find the glove and getting closer by the moment. She finds there is so much more depth to Dash than she could have ever guessed but with the depth comes problems she never had guessed.
“I can’t decide how to fuck you,” he said. “I want to take you in every position. I want to fuck you like an animal and a saint.”
Now, let’s talk sex. CD Reiss is an expert at putting out some of the steamiest sex scenes I have ever read. I have read many different sports books but this was by far the sexiest. Verging on erotica and falling into the style we have come to love and expect from CD Reiss, Hardball felt like a complete new twist on the sports romance.
‘I crave his touch and his laugh, his Shakespeare quotes and his attention. Even his awkwardness. Everything.’
There is no denying that CD Reiss is a phenomenal author, anyone who has read her work can attest to that. Personally, I believe that with Hardball she has really upped her game, not only was the writing and story on par with her other work the attention to detail in Dash’s personality felt real and personal. He wasn’t an easy character to love and I am sure he wasn’t an easy character to write but in the end she made not loving him impossible and for that this book deserves all the stars.

It isn’t a question. It’s not a demand. Somewhere in the middle, something in his tone, there is truth. It reaches across the room, keeps me rooted in place. He’d warned me before, admitted he’d take and give and would offer no apologies. But in this tone of his is something that sounds an awful lot like need, a lot like possession.
I should walk away. No looks back. No second thoughts. Just leave him, leave this warehouse and forget that he ever touched me.
“Sayo,” he says again and this time that voice is closer. He’d moved like a whisper across the room and I hadn’t noticed.
Two steps more and Quinn is behind me. Three more and he rushes forward, forcing me to the wall, bracing myself with my palms flat. “Quinn…”
“No,” he says, leaning against me so I can’t move. “No, love, you stay still and answer a question for me.”
“Back off.”
He does, only to slip his hand to my chest, to slide his fingers under my bra and cup my breasts. “You’re so hot and cold with me, I never know who you’ll be when you come to me.”
Moving my head, I catch Quinn’s gaze over my shoulder. “You never give yourself to me, O’Malley. Never.”
He shifts, withdraws his hands to twist me around by the hips, not leaving much room between us, still holding me to the wall. “You might not like what you see in the real me. I don’t much like him myself…”
If I thought he’d continue his awkward interrogation, I was wrong. His grip lessens, his body relaxing into mine and suddenly he moves his forehead against mine, breath hot over my face, smelling of warm beer.
“You want him? The blonde? You want to be rid of me, Sayo?”
“Quinn…” I try, wishing he didn’t smell quite so good. Wishing that I didn’t remember how much I love the way his arms wrap around me, how the stubble from his face tickles my chest when he rubs it there. I wish I knew how to walk away, to take what had happened between us for the lesson it was.
I wish I didn’t want him so badly.
“Quinn…” I try again but he stands too close, feels too close and then our defenses weaken, they crumble and his mouth is on mine, his hands, mine, are everywhere, insisting, skilled, aching.
Bodies molding together.
Skin to skin, no room for regret.
There is only this sensation. This man. This moment.
Quinn touches me, takes me to floor, barely shoving my jeans off, hardly moving his pants down his hips before he hovers over me, sliding his hard dick against me.
“You don’t want this anymore?” he asks, his breath shaking, his hands sure as he guides himself over my pussy. “Can you walk away from this, love?” He slips inside me in one fluid thrust and I gasp, gripping hold of his shoulders as he kisses up my neck. “Because I damn well can’t.”
Words flit into my mind, defenses that are likely logical, seem reasonable, but I don’t speak them. Not with how well Quinn touches me, how he treats my body like a playground he’s only just discovered.
He is deep inside me, and I’m not sure how to be rid of him. I’m not sure I want to be. But Quinn is a man of few promises. As much as I crave this, he is a wild card I’m not sure I want to play.
