Puked Up by Helena Hunting Release
SUMMARY:
Miller “Buck” Butterson has been banging his way through life ever since a puck to the face fixed his messed up front teeth. After five years in the NHL, deflecting goals on the ice and scoring them with puck bunnies, Miller has decided he’s ready for a girlfriend. A real, non-bunny girlfriend to take on dates, and not jump into bed with after five seconds of conversation.
Miller thinks he’s found that woman in his teammate’s sister. Except, unlike team captain and all-around nice guy Alex Waters—who happens to date his stepsister, Miller’s media reputation as a manwhore is well earned. Beyond that minor detail, Miller doesn’t know the first thing about relationships or the time and effort they require.
Miller learns—eventually—that if he wants to make Sunshine “Sunny” Waters fall for him, he’s going to have to do a whole lot more than show her his stick skills in the bedroom.

Synopsis
Miller “Buck” Butterson has been banging his way through life ever since a puck to the face fixed his messed up front teeth, and he was drafted into the NHL during his first year of college. After five years of deflecting goals on the ice and scoring them with puck bunnies across the Continental US and parts of Canada, Miller is ready for a girlfriend. A real girlfriend of the non-bunny variety. One he takes on dates and doesn’t jump into bed with after five seconds of conversation.
Miller thinks he’s found that woman in his teammate’s sister. Except, unlike Alex Waters, center, team captain and all round nice guy—who happens to be dating his step-sister—Miller’s manwhore reputation is well earned, and not blown out of proportion by the media. Beyond that minor detail, Miller doesn’t know the first thing about having a girlfriend. But he’s determined to make it happen.
What he doesn’t take into account is the amount of time and effort relationships require, or that constantly letting bunnies take selfies with him to post all over social media isn’t going to win him any points in the boyfriend department. Miller learns—not so quickly—that if he wants to make Sunshine “Sunny” Waters fall for him, he going to have to do a whole lot more than show her his stick skills in the bedroom.
Review
“I think the brain surgeons would love to take a peek inside your head – you know, for science, so they can learn more about what happens when yetis and humans mate.”
Pucked Up is the second standalone book in Pucked series and is told in first person completely from Buck’s point of view. I enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed first in the series. The humor was not as outrageous, it was still crass but not as over the top as Pucked which I was very happy about. When the book starts out Sunny and Buck are already in the beginning stages of a relationship, having met in book one Puck when her brother (who is his team mate) and his step sister get together.
“There are no refunds and no exchanges with love. It comes with flaws and imperfections. It’s raw, unfiltered, and sometimes it isn’t easy.”
Buck took me by surprise with his sweet personality and complete dedication to Sunny. Sunny for her part was mostly enjoyable but at times frustrating. A vegan and a virgin she could not have been more different than Miller “Buck” if she tried and yet from the moment they met in Pucked he knew she was worth changing his ways for. Do to his past indiscretions and constant skewing of reality from the media Sunny has a very hard time trusting Buck. This was hard for me, probably since the book was from his point I had a much easier time sympathizing with Buck. He really isn’t doing anything wrong and is constantly punished for it. Add that to the fact that both Sunny’s best friend and her older brother (and his team mate, Alex) are against them being together and Buck had a very hard road in front of him when he decides to go for the real deal with the only girl who captured his heart and attention.
“If there was a Stanley Cup for orgasms, you’d definitely get it.”
Funny, sweet and sexy reading Pucked Up was a great way to spend a lazy afternoon. While for me the drama was a little light the fun humor and Buck overall made up for it. Having gotten to know more of the side characters in the series I am excited for Pucked Over in January.

** Spoiler/Fair Warning **
The romance winds up in a permanent threesome
Review
Brandy know how to write great and complex paranormal stories that capture your mind, heart and can steam up any window. Falling Into Place was no exception and once again I had a hard time pressing pause to get back to my regular life, instead wanting to stay immersed in her captivating mind and this very intriguing world.
Falling Into Place is now the seventh story I believe that I have read by Brandy and I am still amazed as how she keeps all these intertwining characters and storylines straight. This story in particular revolves around three characters I have been desperate for since I was first introduced to them, Robert, Liz and Tremaine.
I am hesitant to give away anymore of the plot than the synopsis allows mostly because the spoilers that would involve would impact the way you read this book, and trust me going in with as little knowledge as possible will make for an incredible reading/listening experience. But I will say that not only does this story pass many, many years that involve heartache, loss and learning to survive alone but it also involves these three characters learning that not all great loves are made out of cookie cutter molds.
Still full of the epic madness that comes with good fighting evil, Falling into Place is action packed and full of surprises. But even more so than her previous books this story is full of heart and even had me tearing up on multiple occasions. Who would have guessed that the book that’s ends in a permanent threesome would be the one packed full of emotion. I highly recommend this book and series on audio, the story flows nicely and is narrated beautifully. I enjoyed every moment of it and cannot wait for more in the series.

Untamed by S.C. Stephens Review
4.5 Smooches!
Synopsis
#1 New York Times bestselling author S.C. Stephens brings us the next book in her Thoughtless series!
The spotlight doesn’t only shine. Sometimes it burns.
Being the bad-boy bassist for the world’s hottest band has earned Griffin Hancock some perks: a big house, a fast car, and most importantly his incredible wife, Anna. The one thing it hasn’t brought him is the spotlight. Anna tells him to be patient, that his talent will win out. But Griffin is through waiting for permission to shine.
Without warning, Griffin makes a shocking decision and takes the gamble of a lifetime. Suddenly he’s caught up in a new level of lights, cameras, and chaos. One that pushes his relationship with Anna to its limits. Anna has always found his unpredictable behavior sexy, but lately he’s seen an ache in her eyes–and it has his soul in knots. Just as the recognition Griffin seeks is finally within reach, the thing he loves most in life could be slipping through his fingers…
Review
OK, so I have no idea why I requested to review this book other than the simple fact that it is written by S.C. Stephens. I simply love this woman’s writing. I have read most of her stuff and I really did love the entire Thoughtless series, but I admit that when I started reading Griffin’s story, I was questioning my decision making. Honestly, I did not like Griffin at all in the previous books. I really didn’t enjoy Anna’s character all that much either. I mean, let’s face it. Their characters come off stupid, shallow, vapid even. So, at the beginning of this book I got a lot of that reaffirmed.
‘I’d filmed myself jacking off once, just to see what I looked like, and I had to say, it was pretty amazing. Anna was one lucky woman.’
I mean I was seriously wanting to take my kindle and knock myself over the head with it. I just knew in my heart that I couldn’t do this for another 300 pages. I was like maybe I should just DNF this. I didn’t like Griffin’s character from jump street! What the hell was I thinking requesting his story?!
‘Nobody put the Hulk in the corner. Nobody.‘
But then something happened and I think that S.C. Stephens totally intended for me to feel this way in the beginning because my feelings started to change. I started to actually feel a little bad for Griffin. I mean, he only wanted just a touch of the spotlight. What would it hurt for him to have his 5 minutes of fame? Why were the guys being so mean to him and inconsiderate? And Anna, what a supportive wife she is. OMG! Am I starting to actually like and empathize with these people? What is wrong me? But I did. And then the story gave me all the feels. Tons of them and my heart literally started breaking.
“We’re supposed to be honest, Griffin! We’re supposed to talk things out!”
“You’re supposed to want to include me. You’re supposed to care.”
Oh, God. This one hurt. Griffin’s character really gave it to my emotions. I mean, here I am sitting here just minding my own business and hating his guts and then he had to go and make me feel sorry for him. Then I just became angry at him and in the next breath my heart literally broke for him. The fall down from the top is a long and awful one and it was just SO hard.
‘I’d gone so high then I’d sunk so low…”
So I beg all you Griffin haters to still check out this book. It was REALLY good. I even grew to care and love Griffin and Anna and their sweet family. The writing was so well done as usual with this authors work and the story was funny, had tons of feels and was just ridiculously sexy (it is Griffin’s book, after all).

Excerpt
I grin up at him. “You know, before this, I’d have taken you for a hard rock, or maybe even a bluegrass fan.”
“It’s the beard, isn’t it,” he asks.
“And the man-bun.”
He laughs, a short rumble of sound. “Want me to let it down?”
Yes. Maybe.
“Not necessary. Man-buns are hot. I blame Jason Momoa. There was only so much watching him bang Khaleesi the female population could take before they wanted their own Khal Drogo.”
Shit. I really don’t know what the hell I’m doing. Because it sounds a lot like flirting to me. Instinct tells me flirting with Ethan Dexter isn’t something to do lightly. And there’s the fact that I don’t go for athletes. At all. I don’t care how fit they are. Or how confident. I don’t like sports. Football bores me. Oh, I know tons about the sport—kind of impossible not to in my family—but I don’t want to pretend that I care when I’d rather talk about other things.
Dex’s eyes crinkle again, and he turns toward me, leaning an elbow on the table. “Doesn’t Momoa have a beard?”
I wave my hand. “Who has time to look at his beard when his muscles are on display?”
I most certainly do not look at Dex’s phenomenal arms.
“So your stance on beards is?” His gaze so strong I feel it in my toes.
My breathing picks up. “Don’t particularly like them.”
It’s the truth. And yet I can’t help but look at his. It’s dark, framing his mouth, which should be a turnoff for me. Only it draws all my attention there. To the shape of his mouth—the upper lip a gentle curve, the lower lip fuller, almost a pout. There’s something slightly illicit about the whole effect.
I clear my throat, glance up, and find him watching me through lowered lids. He doesn’t seem particularly put out by my frankness.
“What don’t you like about them?”
Is he serious?
He stares at me.
I guess he is.
Taking a quick sip of my drink, I search for an answer. “They’re just so…fuzzy. Prickly.”
He moves in, not crowding me, but putting himself at arms’ reach. He smells faintly of cloves and oranges. It must be his aftershave or cologne, but it works for me.
I’m distracted by it and almost jump when he speaks again. “Do you know this based on experience, or are you making an assumption?”
My gaze narrows. “Aren’t you the philosopher.”
“You didn’t answer the question.”
“Fine. Assumption.”
His lips quirk. “You should find out if your assumption is true before you condemn the beard.”
“Is this some sort of creepy way to get me to touch your beard?”
A challenge flashes in his eyes. “There are a few guys at the bar sporting beards. You could go ask them. But I figure since we know each other…”
“Not that well.”
“You’d rather ask a stranger?”
“You’re assuming I care enough to ask, Slick.”
His teeth shine white in the shadows of the club. “I know you’re curious. You’re fairly twitching with wanting to know.”
I flatten my hands against the table and glare. Is it just me, or is he closer? Close enough that I can see his eyes are hazel, lighter around his cornea with a starburst pattern. I wish I could see the colors, but he’s painted in shades of blue and gray right now.
And he’s watching me. Patient. Calculating. Tempting.
“It’s always the quiet ones,” I mutter before taking a breath. “Okay, I’ll pet your fuzzy face.”
“Hold up.” Without hesitation, he reaches for my drink and takes a sip. “Liquid courage.”
A strangled laugh leaves me. “Because I’m sooo scary.”
“You have no idea, Cherry.”
I think I growl at him. I definitely want to give his precious beard a good, hard tug. But he simply lifts his brows at me. “Get on with it, then.”
This cheeky bastard is totally playing me. And here I am falling into his trap. Because I cannot look away from his beard now. More specifically, his lips, which are parted just slightly. An invitation. A dare.
Shit. I’ve never been very good at ignoring a dare.
I hate that my hand trembles as I reach up to touch him. He stays perfectly still, his arm casually slung on the edge of the booth behind me, his body turned toward mine. But I don’t miss the way his breathing has kicked up just slightly.
I hesitate, shy almost. Hells bells, I’m only going to touch a bit of facial hair. Why does it feel like we’re two kids tucked in a dark corner, playing a game of “I’ll show you mine”?
Annoyed with myself, I close the distance between us.

Their souls were exposed to the chaos, bare and vulnerable.

EXCERPT
ntering his building made her feet lighter. She was being carried on the wings of euphoria, each step easier than the last. She wasn’t walking to her future. She was running toward it. Taking a breath, she held it, and knocked on his door.
The door opened and he stood there with his lips parted and confusion furrowing his brow. “Jude?”
Throwing herself forward, she jumped up and wrapped her body around his and kissed him. Then again. He kicked the door closed and held her against it. When they parted, they remained close enough to share their panting breaths. He said, “You’re here.” When he pressed his abs against her center her head knocked hard on the wood and he kissed the exposed skin of her neck where it met her shoulder.
He was strong. He was virile. “Hey,” she said, bringing his face up to see hers.
Lowering her down until her feet touched, he said, “I thought we were meeting at the park?”
“I couldn’t wait.”
His glorious smile chose to shine on her. “I’m glad you didn’t. Do you want to go to the bedroom?”
Giggling, she replied, “Yes, so much, but I need to talk to you first.”
“Okay.” He walked to the couch and she stared gob-smacked by his allure. Jeans that hung low. No shirt. Boxers peeking out the top, but a V that directed her eyes below the waistband. He was a tease as he stood there waiting for her to join him. Sitting on the couch, he patted it. “C’mere.”
She started walking on shaky legs. As she passed the bar, she debated if she should stay there to save her clarity. That seat next to him was tempting, but she knew she’d be flat on her back within seconds. So she hurried to his side and sat down. His hands were instantly on her.

Licked by Brooke Blaine
Date of Publication: November 11, 2015
Blurb

As the owner of Licked, an eclectic ice creamery and bar, Ryleigh Phillips doesn’t have time for that love stuff. Serving up Nibble My Nuts sundaes and Drunken Sailor boozy shakes are as close to an orgasmic affair as she’s had in months thanks to her expanding empire—until the night of her ten-year high school reunion.
When Ryleigh’s crush, gorgeous ex-football god Cameron Mathis, comes streaking into her life (literally—streaking), she begins to wonder if she really can have it all.
Wouldn’t it just figure that the moment you think life is perfect is when it falls spectacularly apart?
Enter Hunter Morgan, the contractor in charge of Licked’s renovations. Devastatingly handsome, and a smartass to boot, he’s got his eyes on Ryleigh from the moment he finds her passed out on his couch (yeah, that’s a long story). There’s just one tiny complication—he happens to be Cameron’s best friend.
When the lines between relationships and friendships blur, and it’s impossible to choose between two delicious flavors, what’s a girl to do? Taste a sample of each? Or go out and get LICKED?
About Brooke Blaine

You could say Brooke Blaine was a book-a-holic from the time she knew how to read; she used to tell her mother that curling up with one at 4 a.m. before elementary school was her ‘quiet time.’ Not much has changed except for the espresso I.V. pump she now carries around and the size of her onesie pajamas.
Flash Point is Brooke’s debut solo novel, and she is the co-author of the erotic serial, A Desperate Man, with Ella Frank. The latter has scarred her conservative southern family for life, bless their hearts. Licked, a romantic comedy, will be released on November 11th, 2015.
If you’d like to get in touch with her, she’s easy to find – just keep an ear out for the Rick Astley ringtone that’s dominated her cell phone for ten years.
