SYNOPSIS:
When the board of directors of my company mandated that I go to a wellness facility in small-town Maine to recharge, that shouldn’t have included:
1. Using a ladder to sneak out of the bedroom window at night and going to the local bar.
2. Getting so drunk that the bar owner brought me upstairs to sleep it off in his bed.
3. Waking up staring at the taxidermy moose head on said bar owner’s wall.
4. Falling for said bar owner who was the most drop-dead gorgeous man I’ve ever seen.
But Brock Hawkins was so much more than just the hot bar owner. He owned half the town, built log cabins with his bare hands, and was apparently the most eligible man in all of Meadowbrook.

And the last man I should’ve been falling for—because my time in this small town was limited.
I had to head back to my life in New York City, one that was the complete opposite from the kind Brock lived.

Denim & Diamonds by Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland is a sizzling, opposites-attract romance that proves love can bloom in the most unexpected places! I listened to the audiobook, narrated in duet by two of my favorites, Andi Arndt & Teddy Hamilton, who have the kind of natural chemistry that always hits the mark. They didn’t miss here either, both turning in incredible performances as they brought these characters to life in my ears.
When February, a high-powered city CEO, crosses paths with Brock, the rugged small-town bar owner, their meet-cute turns into a hook-up that grows into something far more complicated—and undeniably electric. Their chemistry is off-the-charts combustible, sparking with razor-sharp banter and a magnetic pull neither can resist. They’re on the clock and time is ticking by fast, though, as February’s time in Maine is quickly drawing to close.
Ward and Keeland are a perfectly matched author duo, and their collaborations are always in sync as their masterful storytelling blends heart-melting emotion, heart-racing romance and heart-pounding heat. February and Brock had to navigate their clashing worlds, forced proximity, and the undeniable connection that kept drawing them back together. The small-town charm, steamy tension, and Brock’s gruff-but-tender alpha charm made theirs a romance I didn’t want to put down.
