If You Keep Me by Helena Hunting was a sizzling and emotionally charged forbidden age-gap romance that brings the Toronto Terror series to a perfect, heart-wrenching conclusion. I listened to the audiobook, narrated in duet by JF Harding and Erin Mallon. Their natural chemistry was naturally in sync with the lead characters, allowing both narrators to deliver authentic performances.
When Flip, a thirty-year-old reformed bad-boy professional hockey player, was propositioned by Tally, his coach’s twenty-one-year-old daughter who’s secretly crushed on him for years, their magnetic chemistry exploded in ways neither expected. Hunting masterfully built the tension between the off-limits virgin heroine and the protective hero who knew he should resist but found himself utterly captivated and charmed by her. Their journey was a beautiful exploration of emotional growth as Flip confronted his past and Tally proved she was so much more than just the coach’s little girl.
Told with Hunting’s signature blend of sharp wit, heartfelt vulnerability and scorching heat, this addictive love story was as tender as it was steamy. If You Keep Me by Helena Hunting gets 4.5 smooches from me!
