SYNOPSIS:
They’re just friends.
At least, that’s what she thinks. Him? He has other plans.
Bennett Brinkman is San Francisco baseball’s golden boy-focused, disciplined, and very bad at ignoring the one woman he shouldn’t want. Falling for his sister’s best friend was inevitable, even though she’s known him since he was all gangly elbows, bad haircuts, and teenage awkwardness…and still insists on seeing him that way.
Bower knows exactly why wanting Bennett is a terrible idea. She’s fiercely loyal to her best friend and well aware that crossing this particular line could blow everything up. But when she moves into Bennett’s apartment building, that “just friends” boundary begins to blur in the most tempting ways.

REVIEW:
A hilarious and heartwarming sports romantic comedy, Just For The Plot by Meghan Quinn blends grumpy-sunshine charm with all the sizzling tension of a reverse-age-gap couple in a sister’s-forbidden-best-friend dynamic. I listened to the full cast audiobook production, and it was outstanding. It was narrated in duet by Teddy Hamilton and Samantha Brentmoor, who both turned in fantastic performances. Rounding out the cast were J.F. Harding, Emma Wilder, Jason Clarke, Stella Hunter and Connor Crais whose performances all came together to elevate this production from simply entertaining to something truly exceptional.
Meghan always delivers on the banter, and it was witty and snappy and on-point in every single interaction between these characters. The chemistry between Bennett and Bower was smoking hot, edging between will-they-or-won’t-they and why-don’t-we. Bower’s reasons for treading so cautiously were valid, though, and the hilariously unhelpful advice Bennett got from his teammates was not as useful as he had hoped it would be.
I loved everything about this feel-good, steamy and forbidden sports romcom! Told in Quinn’s signature style of laugh-out-loud humor and engaging storytelling, it was another winner from Meghan! Just For The Plot by Meghan Quinn gets five smooches from me!
