REVIEW:

Bromberg delivers another heart-capturing tale in Sweet Regret. Bromberg’s emotionally charged storytelling is perfectly showcased in this story as she expertly weaved together heart-wrenching emotion and history into a mesmerizing love story about redemption and the power of second chances.

Vince and Bristol’s story is intense in every sense of the word, and Kristy makes that evident from the start. Page after page of hurt, heartbreak, history and then, finally, healing made for an addictive story that I couldn’t read fast enough. Their romantic journey was portrayed with a genuine authenticity that kept me fully invested from cover-to-cover. I loved Bristol, she was strong and independent, and Vince was every bit the charismatic rock star. I felt every single feel right along with them as they navigated through their complicated history while living in their professional present. Adding to their turmoil were the complexities that came with Bristol’s secret and everything that happened during those long years of silence between them making for a completely consuming story. Bromberg has a remarkable ability to create multidimensional characters that come to life on the page, and while Vince and Bristol are definitely the stars of this show, Jagger was a total scene-stealer, and the side characters added wonderful interest and richness.

Full of healing, burning with heat and packed with emotion, and I practically inhaled Sweet Regret. I loved these characters, I loved their story, and Kristy shattered me with the depth of emotion in Bristol and Vince’s hard-earned, second-chance-at-first-love story. This was the kind of story I didn’t want to stop reading and got annoyed when I had to put it down. A breathtaking love story full of passion, forgiveness and the transformative power of love, I was completely swept up in the emotional rollercoaster of this story. Five stars from me for Sweet Regret by K. Bromberg!
