SYNOPSIS:

On Ronan Thatcher’s first week in Montana, he spots the most beautiful woman in the world. Love at first sight? Nah. He doesn’t believe in love. But he wouldn’t mind a date or two with the local beauty. Ronan is the type of man who gets what he wants, and he wants Larke Hale.

Except Calamity’s sweetheart has sworn off men. The last time Ronan was rejected was, well . . . never. Yet Larke dismisses him without even batting those pretty brown eyes.

Bruised ego in check, he’s about to walk away when a teenager marches into his office and asks to hire Ronan as her lawyer. Something about a bad grade and a ruined grade point average that will inevitably destroy her future. He’s about to lecture the kid for being melodramatic until he learns that the teacher she wants to sue is Larke.

Suddenly this frivolous lawsuit seems like a bright idea. Ronan wants Larke’s attention and this is guaranteed to snag it. So let the brawl begin.

REVIEW:

I’m a huge fan of small town romances, and Devney Perry writing as Willa Nash has penned some outstanding ones. I love the quaint small Montana towns she creates, the quirky, endearing characters, and the angsty, sexy and romantic relationship build-up against suspenseful plots. As someone who has read all of Devney Perry’s books, I had high expectations for her Willa Nash work. She exceed those expectations, and she’s consistently delivered completely unputdownable stories to her readers.

I love a good enemies-to-lovers romance, and by definition, I know that means the bantering and bickering is going to be witty, snappy and its own form of foreplay, which was definitely the case here. The sparks literally flew in every single one of Larke and Ronan’s interactions. Larke’s rejection of Ronan fueled him to keep trying to get her attention by any means possible, and when the opportunity presented itself, he jumped at it. The way that Nash built that story within a story into the overall plot is what made this such an engaging story. Larke’s show-stealing daughter and the sweet moments she and Ronan shared added depth to this complex and layered love story.

The Brawl was everything I love about small town romance. This was a heart-warming and heat-filled love story, full angsty emotion, crackling sexual chemistry, an engrossing storyline and interesting side characters. The Brawl was absolutely addictive and a total pleasure to read—I inhaled this sweet and swoon-worthy romance in a single sitting. A fantastic addition to this wonderful series, I’m on the edge of my seat in anticipation of the next book in this series. Five smooches from me for The Brawl by Willa Nash!
