SYNOPSIS:

From Wall Street Journal bestselling author Devney Perry comes a new story in her Maysen Jar series…

Dear Diary,

My dad needs a girlfriend, and I’ve already picked her out.

Miss Adler would be perfect for him, right? She’s super pretty. She has the best smile and she gives the best hugs. And she’s, like, the most amazing teacher in the world.

Dad is my hero, but I can tell he’s lonely. He tries to hide it from me, but sometimes at night, when he thinks I’m asleep, I’ll sneak downstairs and find him sitting on the couch, staring at nothing. He’s never had a girlfriend, not since the divorce. Mom messed him up. She’s good at that.

He’s smart and funny, but he doesn’t laugh enough. I’ve seen other moms at school check him out so I guess he’s handsome. (Eww.) And he makes up the best nicknames. He calls me Dandelion. I bet he’d give Miss Adler an awesome nickname too.

They’re perfect for each other. I just know it. Now I only have to show them I’m right.

Wish me luck.

Katy

REVIEW:

I love these 1001 Dark Nights novellas, they give me a chance to revisit a favorite author’s world or check out a new one. Devney Perry takes readers back to her Maysen Jar world in The Dandelion Diary with a forbidden romance. Perry delivered a love story full of heart-string pulling emotions and a sweet and steamy romance, all wrapped up in the complex dynamics of a single father/child’s teacher forbidden relationship. From start to finish, Perry weaved an engaging, unputdownable tale that kept me tapping me Kindle as I devoured it.

The chemistry between Jeff and Della crackled off the pages, sparking an intense and fiery romance with all those exciting love-at-first-sight vibes. The characters were beautifully crafted, each with their own flaws and scars that made them relatable and compelling. The star of the show, though, was Jeff’s adorable daughter, Katy, or as he nicknamed her, Dandelion. Charm overflows from this book as the plot unfolds with its fair share of challenges for the couple along with the secrets and revelations held in the diary.

The Dandelion Diary was an engrossing and addictively sweet and sexy romance that held my full attention from the first page. Devney Perry’s storytelling completely captured my heart with this steamy and emotional forbidden romance. Heartwarming, passionate, with just the right amount of angsty longing, The Dandelion Diary is an absolute must-read for fans of Devney Perry’s or those looking to take her writing for a trial run. Five smooches from me for The Dandelion Diary by Devney Perry!
