Synopsis

It all started with the invitation. To my ex-fiance’s new wedding.

I should have ignored it.Thrown it away. Set it afire. But I didn’t. I replied.

With a plus one.

And then my assistant accidentally mailed it.

Enter Hayes Whitley. Mega-movie star. The man who has captured the hearts of millions. But I gave him mine years ago. He was my first love. He was my everything. Right until he up and left to chase his dreams without so much as a simple goodbye.

When he showed up out of the blue ten years later, I should have known to steer clear. I should have rejected his offer to take me to my ex’s wedding. I should have never let him kiss me.

But I didn’t.

And now we’re left wondering if the pieces of the life we once shared still fit together somehow. First loves are hard to forget. The question is, do we want to forget? Or do we risk the chance and see what happens next?

Review

Sweet Cheeks is a second chance romance that hits all the right notes. K. Bromberg delivers an enchanting story about Saylor, a struggling baker trying to make it on her own after leaving her fiancé, and Hayes, a famous movie star who has come home. Saylor and Hayes have a sweet and sad history and when Hayes left her she never fully recovered. Now ten years later and a RSVP mishap has her at her ex-fiancé’s destination wedding with her first love turned movie star as her date. With so much hurt and pain in their history we have to wait to find out if anything has changed or if when the weekend is over will Hayes leave her all over again.

‘I allowed  my dreams to consume me. Rip us apart. Leave her. Leave us.”

I really enjoyed both the plot and the characters in this book. I will say however that for me personally there was not near enough dialogue. While I was pulled in with sassy Saylor and sexy Hayes. I loved the second chance aspect and them traveling together after tens years apart, I did find myself losing interest whenever the internal dialogue would go on for a little too long. I would still recommend Sweet Cheeks to anyone who loves a good second chance romance with a good does of a sexy dirty talking man.
