Synopsis

Mona Lisa St. James made a deathbed promise that she would do anything to save her mother’s art gallery. Unfortunately, not only is The Red painted red, but it’s in the red. She soon realizes she has no choice but to sell it.

Just as she realizes she has no choice but to sell it, a mysterious man comes in after closing time and makes her an offer: He will save The Red if she agrees to submit to him for the period of one year.

The man is handsome, English, and terribly tempting…but surely her mother didn’t mean for Mona to sell herself to a stranger. Then again, she did promise to do anything to save The Red…

The Red is a standalone novel of erotic fantasy from Tiffany Reisz, international bestselling author of The Bourbon Thief and the Original Sinners series.

REVIEW

Mona promised her mother right before she died that she would do anything to save the family art gallery and with the gallery in loads of debt she knows something drastic must happen to help save it. So when a mysterious, handsome British man promises to do just that, Mona sees an opportunity to keep her promise and agrees to his terms…and those terms are to submit to him completely and wholly for a year. Thus commences an intense and passionate year of submission to Malcom but all is not as it seems with the mysterious Malcom…

“You smile like the devil,” Mona said. “The devil doesn’t smile,” he said. “The devil smirks.” “You speak as if you know him.” “Would it shock you if I said I did?”

OH.MY.HOTNESS!!! This is one of my favourite erotic reads that I have read! It was so intense, so dirty, so filled with exotic pleasure and sexual fantasies, beyond what I could dream up, and the slight fantasy element was completely unexpected and unlike anything I have read before. I honestly could not put this book down and wish it didn’t end!

“He looked even more like the devil than ever. A dashing devil. Despite her fear, she liked looking at him. He didn’t seem dangerous. No, he seemed terribly dangerous.”

I really don’t want to give too much away because everything is not as it seems with Malcom and his sexual fantasies that he creates but you honestly won’t see it coming or be able to guess what it could be. It was brilliant twist in my eyes and just added another level to the story. What I can say is that this was a very, very hot and dirty read indeed and I could not get enough. The situations Malcom creates were so intense and different to normal erotica reads and I was drawn into them I completely forgot to highlight my favourite bits because I was so entranced!

“Beautiful girl,” he murmured against her lips. She wanted to tear off his fine white linen cravat and lick the hollow of his throat. She would have kissed it and bitten it. She would have drunk wine out of it. She hadn’t given that hollow a second thought until it was covered and hidden from her view.”

I loved how confident Mona was and how she owned what she was doing. Yes she was afraid or unsettled at times (who wouldn’t be?!) but she still gave off such a confident and sexy vibe of herself and wasn’t ashamed of who she was or what she was doing and I loved that. Malcom…well there are no words for Malcom. He was dirty and yet charming, sexy and mysterious, imaginative and magical, and I completely fell for him.

I can’t sing my praises enough for this story and I wish it didn’t end. A thrilling, intense erotica read unlike anything you have ever read before!
