Review
This story picks up from straight after the first book finished. We are with Marcus and Katia after she has discovered she was just there for a contract and Marcus destroys her even though he knows he has started falling for her. This is a whirlwind, past paced book that takes us through to the conclusion of this couples story.

I loved the first book and I loved the second just as much. There is so much angst, heartache, sex, suspense and drama, it’s a winning combination. I really love Marcus, some may find him a bit too rough or rude but his intensity is one of the reasons I love him so much. I will be honest and say I don’t love Katia as much as Marcus and I’m not sure why but I still love her in her own way, I just think with this story at times I just wanted to shake her and say “be stronger” because I knew she could be.
“I don’t see anything, feel anything, hear anything. My soul is a bottomless pit. My body moves only because it has to.”
The plot was so fast paced, there’s definitely not a moment to breathe with this story but again I loved this aspect of the book. Sometimes I find that some books fill pages that don’t necessarily need to be there but that’s 100% not the case here.
“He fucks me like this is our last day on earth and I’m the only reason he’s fought. He fucks me like I matter. He fucks me like I’m his lifeline and he can’t survive without me.”
By only slight criticism of this story is that it all wrapped up a bit too quickly for me, especially considering some of the subjects that had been looked into. But saying that I was satisfied with the overall ending and I would love to see a quick short novella of what Marcus and Katia’s life is like in the future.
