Review

Addison has been in love with Cade since she was just a little girl. Cade has always acted as her protector and took on the role of legal guardian when Addison’s father passed away. When Cade and Addison started dating, everything changed. Addison was excited (albeit a little “frustrated”), being with Cade until one day she walked in on a scene that changed everything!!!  This is a BDSM story and the Dom/sub theme is very strong throughout the book. If you’re looking for hearts and flowers, this isn’t the book for you 😉 I am not personally a huge reader of BDSM, but I don’t shy away from it. That said some of things I didn’t particularly enjoy about the story may be right up another reader’s alley.  I really liked Addison. Despite her sheltered and protected background she was surprisingly tough and strong willed. I really sympathized with her throughout the book and wanted to see her experience some happiness.  Okay…now for Cade.  This was my major problem with the book. I hated Cade. I tried to like him; I really did. He just never appealed to me. On the scale of asshole to nice guy, Cade weighed way too heavy on the asshole side for my liking. I understand he is a Dom; I’ve read enough of these books to understand what that entails but, throughout the majority of the book, I found myself hoping that Addison would kick him to the curb and find another guy. On a side note, is it strange that all of Cade’s co-workers and all of his brothers are Doms too?  To “Love and Obey” finished strong with an exciting and satisfying ending. I feel like there is still some back story to be told and I imagine we’ll learn more in upcoming books in the series.
