Hate Fuck: Part Two by Ainsley Booth Review
4.5 SMOOCHES
Synopsis
It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt. Then it’s business as usual.
Cole:
I screwed up, but I can fix this.
Hailey:
This can’t be fixed.
Part two of a three book serial about a bad-ass alpha male and the curvy woman he can’t give up.
Hate F*@k: part one is now available! Hate F*@k: part three will finish the serial in April 2015
Review
“I went into last night with my eye’s wide open. A meaningless fuck with a bad boy, Obviously, that’s exactly what I got.”
To say I was eagerly awaiting this would be a HUGE understatement! From the moment I finished Part One I was desperate to get my claws on Part Two. Hailey and Cole have embedded themselves in my brain and I know until their story is complete there is nothing I can do to stop it!
“I feel reckless. Out of control. Not scared. No, I’m not scared of anything. Except losing Hailey.”
Shit hit the fan at the end of Part One and Hailey is torn between believing what she is told and knowing what Cole’s character is like. Despite believing the best in him she is scared of all he does and what that means for her life. With her family constantly in the press she doesn’t need one more thing to make her life any harder, and a sexy alpha male with a penchant for trouble is just too much. But can she really deny that what she is feeling is not more than just sex? Putting her trust in this man who has manipulated and lied to her might be asking too much.
“And we’re not fucking done.”
Cole is deliciously Alpha and hot! I yearn for more of him. Somehow while coming off strong and in control he is also caring and loving without ever appearing soft. The man oozes sex and danger and I loved dose of it I got! I am a sucker for a strong Alpha and Cole fit that bill to a T.
“His brutal rhythm makes my eyes water and drives my pulse into my throat. I love it. I need it.”
Hailey is strong but sweet. She has a harshness to her that clearly comes from being raised by a family you can’t relate to and a desire to be normal when her life is anything but. Her chemistry with Cole is scorching but she is worried that anything that hot will burn out quickly.
“She’s fearless. I keep thinking of her as innocent, but only in spirit – pure, good. Lightness and grace. She’s not innocent of the evils in this world – even less so today, apparently – but she still believes that’s an aberration, an other, in a world of order and justice and common decency.”
Ainsley Booth is definitely an author I will be watching. If her works in the future are anywhere near as sexy and riveting as this series is she will quickly become a must one-click for me.
“Restraint is totally the wrong way to go when the man of your dreams is licking your pussy like it’s made of spun sugar.”

Review
Man, I did something incredibly stupid and read some negative reviews before I attempted to read Where Sea Meets Sky. I was shocked that some people who had read Karina’s other work didn’t love Where Sea Meets Sky so I found myself putting off this book because I was scared. I was really freaked out by the fact that I may not love it. Now, I haven’t read Karina’s earlier work. I have read Love, In English, Love, in Spanish, and The Pact. All of which I absolutely adored. So finally, I pushed myself to just stop over thinking and just read and I am so glad that I did. I loved Where Sea Meets Sky and I honestly believe that if you enjoyed Love in English then you will love Where Sea Meets Sky too!
“I’m sucked under, in a riptide, into the undertow, and it’s dark and I’m tumbling and I don’t know which way is up but oh god, how I don’t want it to stop.”
We get to meet Josh in Love, In English and I am so glad that Karina gave him his own book. Just a few pages in and Josh meets Gemma. Josh and Gemma have only one night of explosive hot sex and feelings before Gemma has to return home to New Zealand. At the beginning of this book Josh is kind of slackerish, lazy even. Content in his mediocre existence. His one night with Gemma has seemingly changed Josh forever. He cannot get her out of his mind. He wants her again. He wants adventure. He needs change. He decided to just go to New Zealand, maybe find Gemma but definitely find a whole lot of adventure.
“Life is spreading her legs for me. I’m going in.”
He does find Gemma and huge amount of angst and drama. Oh, it was so good. In true traditional New Adult form there are a ton of bad mistakes being made, hurtful ones. But isn’t that really what that time in our lives is about? I know it is when I made some of the craziest and horrible decisions of my life but man, it was fun! That is why I love the NA genre so incredibly much. All of the emotions and poor decisions lead to the bottom of the bottom and the biggest highs of your life. NA is all about the feels and I got a ton of those from Where Sea Meets Sky.
“He’s like the wind. He’ll be with me long enough to ruffle my feathers and then he’ll be gone.”
Where Sea Meets Sky is Gemma and Josh’s story but coming in a close second is New Zealand. You can definitely tell that Karina was a travel writer. New Zealand stole the show for me. The imagery that Karina used to describe New Zealand was so amazing. I felt like I was apart of every excursion and adventure that Josh went on. The people, the animals, everything. I could not get enough of it.
“I’m living in a postcard. Every day I wake up and I’m part of a scene that steals my breath and brings tears to my eyes.”
I found myself looking up little blue penguins on google or searching for caves with glow worms that hang from the ceiling lighting up the cave like stars in the sky. After reading this book New Zealand is definitely on my list of places to visit.
This entire book just stole my heart. The characters, the place, the love, the drama, every stinking bit of it. I cannot recommend this book enough. Karina is an amazing writer and I absolutely love her romance novels. This one does have an HEA, so no worries. Where Sea Meets Sky also can be read as a standalone, so get on that!
“I think she’s starting to really like me. I think I’m starting to fall in love with her.”

Velvet Kisses by Addison Moore Blog Tour

3:AM Kisses Book 6
(Can be read as a stand alone)
ROMANTIC COMEDY
~Addison Moore~
Marley Jackson has an axe to grind with the entire male population. After having her heart brutally broken, she’s out to prove to herself, and the world, that a woman only needs one thing from a man—and it isn’t love.
Wyatt James isn’t interested in anything that resembles a commitment. He’s self-made, secure, and happy to entertain a one-night stand any day of the week—enter Marley.
Marley quickly dispels the idea that she’s anybody’s one-night stand. What Marley has in store for Wyatt is far more complex and requires a binding contract to back it.
Marley and Wyatt aren’t in it for love. Marley is looking to glean some expertise in the bedroom. Wyatt is looking to find some solace after a string of nameless faces that have rocked his bed.
But when feelings change, and that four-letter word takes ahold of both their hearts, they’re left to face the fact they might be in deeper than either of them thought possible.
Marley and Wyatt smolder beneath the sheets.
She’s eager to learn—yet, bossy as hell.
He’s eager to lay down one hard lesson after the other, yet determined to save her from herself.
Sometimes heartbreak is the greatest teacher.
Sometimes it leads you into the arms of the one you belonged with right from the start.
“Aren’t I the lucky birthday boy?” His dimples dig in tight, no smile. There’s an earnestness about him that spells out orgasm in the making, and my thighs quiver because if I’m not careful I’ll achieve the big O before we ever get started.
“Actually”—I clasp onto the tie that he’s neatly paired with dark denim and chukka boots, my all time favorite—“I’m the lucky one. I win because I have you.”
He winces before his dimples dig in ten times deeper.
“Clothes off.” The smile drops from his face. Wyatt is a man who is used to being pleased, when and how he wishes, and most likely by whomever he wants.
“Yes, Professor James.” I reach back and unzip my dress, letting it drop to the floor in a celebrated thump. I hook my thumbs into the sides of my panties and slowly pull them over my curves. Wyatt’s eyes float down to my hips. His chest expands as if he’s pleased with what he sees. I let them glide off, soft as a feather and carefully step out of the fabric puddle, wobbling on my heels in the process.
God, God, God, don’t fall! I do a little dance trying to right myself and land a few inches closer to him with my see-through lace bra and heels the only foreign objects on my body. I reach back and unhook my bra, letting the girls spring out like a couple of hopped up cheerleaders anxious for the big game. It slides off without any help on my part as if it were fleeing the scene. I take a deep breath and pull my shoulders back as his gaze heats my body by at least twenty degrees. “Your turn, cowboy.”

Uncovered
My name is Lizzie Connelly, and I have it all. The gorgeous apartment. The new job most women would rip out their own souls for—working for Margaret Emerson at Emerson & Taylor. I have one of those lives you’ve always dreamt about, the kind you only see on HBO. But, the thing is, that life is a lie. A façade.
It all started with one call. “Everything you know about your story—your father’s story—is a lie. It’s up to you to uncover everything.” One call, and I turned my world upside down to dig my way into Margaret’s life—the woman who I’d never laid eyes on until recently. My stepmother who took everything after my father died fourteen years ago.
The plan was simple—figure out what role she played in my father’s death and expose her to the world.
But here’s another thing: simplicity doesn’t exist, and my plans are flawed from the beginning because I never anticipated Oliver. Sexy, too smart for his own goddamn good, and infuriating, he’s the one person who could blow my plans to uncover Margaret. She’s his mother, and in another life, that would have made him my stepbrother.
I want to pretend that none of that matters, that I can simply finish what I came to do without sparing him a second glance and another thought.
Like I said, though, there’s no such thing as simplicity.
My real name is Gemma Emerson.
And this is my story.

Synopsis:
*Includes a bonus chapter from Devoured from Lucas Wolfe’s POV!*
Kylie Wolfe and bassist Wyatt McCrae have been bad for each other for the last several years, but it’s impossible for them to end their toxic push and pull. Not when their attraction is constantly fueled by lust and proximity—she’s her older brother’s Lucas’s assistant and Wyatt is his best friend and band mate.
So when Your Toxic Sequel makes a move to record a new album in Nashville, Kylie decides to make the latest break with Wyatt official by getting the hell out of town. She’ll spend a week in New Orleans. A week to immerse herself in the Mardi Gras scene. One week to not think about the last time she was in New Orleans, seven years ago with Wyatt. Seven days where she won’t have to see Wyatt every day just to fall ridiculously in love with him all over again—where, if she wants to, she can have a normal, no-strings attached fling that won’t end in heartbreak.
Too bad Wyatt ruins everything by showing up, as gorgeous and demanding and awful for her as ever.
Wyatt refuses to let Kylie give up on him. Not without reminding her why they both fell so far and hard in the first place. Not without making her savor the good memories and what could be their last chance with each other.

Wrecked

But then Rhys, her new voice instructor, happens. He’s gorgeous, insanely talented and a part of the dark past she’s trying to overcome. Rhys’s brother is the reason why Evie’s life is such a mess right now, the reason why Lily, Evie’s sister, is dead. Bad Advice (Coming in 2015)
For Avery, relationship advice comes easy. Even if her own love life is in shambles, doling out her opinion is what she was born to do. When she scores her own advice column in a prominent Charlotte newspaper, Avery is ecstatic—that is until a snarky blogger, Amanda Truthslayer, pops up on a popular website that caters to the miserable. Amanda’s blog takes questions directly from Avery, spinning the sweet advice into a blunt cringe-worthy bitchfest. Realizing that the elusive Amanda’s in-your-face opinion might just ruin her brand, Avery has no other choice but to seek out the very sexy, very available, very cynical owner of the website and the Bradbury Enterprises gaming dynasty, Max Bradford.
From the moment she and Max cross paths, sparks fly. Avery believes in fairytales and he believes in … well, being an asshat. When he gives her the news that he can’t and won’t pull Amanda’s blog, Avery makes it her mission to turn the cynical, love-hating Max and his scathing blogger into believers of happily ever after. But inserting herself into Max’s life slowly begins to backfire. Because the more Amanda flips Avery’s advice, the more Avery realizes how skewed her own perception on relationships might be. And the more she’s around Max, the more impossible it is to resist him.

Refusing to answer to “Jane Doe” for another day, the woman renames herself “Water” for the tiny, hidden marking on her body—the only clue to her past. Taken in by old Ginny Fitzgerald, a crotchety but kind lady living on a nearby horse farm, Water slowly begins building a new life. But as she attempts to piece together the fleeting slivers of her memory, more questions emerge: Who is the next-door neighbor, quietly toiling under the hood of his Barracuda? Why won’t Ginny let him step foot on her property? And why does Water feel she recognizes him?
Twenty-four-year-old Jesse Welles doesn’t know how long it will be before Water gets her memory back. For her sake, Jesse hopes the answer is never. He knows that she’ll stay so much safer—and happier—that way. And that’s why, as hard as it is, he needs to keep his distance. Check out our 5 smooches review HERE.
There’s nothing but me and Gemma. It feels like we’re the only people left in the world. And it scares me, because she’s all I have to hold onto. I can’t be sure she won’t let go.
There’s no official camping at the lighthouse, so Gemma takes the bus off-roading, much like we did yesterday, and we come to a stop in a small valley in the middle of a field of cows. They all swivel their heads to stare at us with dark, inquisitive eyes. There’s a small house up on the hill but we can barely see it. Horses graze on the hill’s terraced grooves.
Beyond the hills, there’s nothing but ocean. I breathe in deep, feeling strangely nervous and shaky. I don’t think it’s just about being on the edge of nothing, though.
I think it’s that I’m on the edge of something.
We go to bed early, our alarms set for the early morning hour, pre-dawn. Even though the ocean looks to be about a ten-minute walk, I pack a bag with my camera, my phone, my sketchbook and the pastels.
I can’t get enough of her. Our love-making is slow and lazy but necessary. Being inside her feels like being home, it feels like being in love, it feels like everything sweet and beautiful and nice in the world. Every time I come in her I hope I’m making a home for myself, a place where I belong.
The alarm on my phone goes off way too early. In my sleepy stupor I nearly turn it off but Gemma is patting my arm, then punching my arm, telling me to get up. The world around us vibrates with the sound of mooing cows and I wonder how the hell I slept through them.
Even though the days are hot, the mornings by the ocean are cold, and I can barely get on my jeans and hoodie in time. Armed with the pack and flashlights, we jump out of the van. The air snaps at us as if we’re wind-blown flags.
Hundreds of cattle spread out in all directions, bound by the green hills to the south and the lighthouse to the north. I look east, to where the hills part and the sky is a paler shade of dawn. It seems to be growing lighter by the second, and our chances of catching the sunrise are dwindling.
We take off toward the light, cautiously creeping under barbed wire fences and avoiding the epic cow pies dotting the land. The cows, for the most part, seem to be ignoring us, but their piles of shit are like hidden landmines in the dim light. A meandering, narrow stream cuts across us and we have to head up into the terraced hills where wary horses eye us. I get the feeling that we’ve chosen the most difficult route to see the sunrise, and from our vantage point I can’t even see the lighthouse anymore.
Just as the sky seems to grow frighteningly light, we reach the crest of the hill and I nearly collapse, out of breath from the quick, steep hike. A lone filly bolts at the sight of us.
Below us lies an empty beach, laid out like a sheet of velvet. Aside from the occasional hoof print and driftwood, it looks totally undisturbed, like it has been waiting for us all this time. The South Pacific is spread out at the horizon’s feet, a royal blue tinged with saffron edges. The sun is not up yet. We still have time.
We run down the hill and I nearly eat shit, several times, my shoes slipping on the dew-slicked grass, until sand sinks beneath my feet. I grab Gemma’s hand and we run over to the water’s edge just as the sun peeks its glowing crown over the wavering line.
I look at her and smile. We made it. We’re standing on the easternmost point in the easternmost habitable country. We might even be the first people on this whole fucking earth to see this fiery sunrise. Only thousands of miles of rolling water lies between us and the southwest coast of Chile.
And yesterday.

Brodie Steele is a badass MC dude. Ashe Kingston is a sexy police officer with an attitude. Their bad blood runs deep. But after they hook up at a wild biker week, can they keep their pact? What happens at Bike Week stays at Bike Week. Yeah, right.
Riding out the rough years following a family tragedy, Brodie is still trying to put his life back together when he finds something he never expected with Ashe. She annoys the ever lovin’ hell out of him, and turns him on so much he can’t see straight. He keeps coming back for more.
Ashe isn’t just a hard-nosed police officer. And she wants no part of Brodie outside of their no-strings-attached fling. There’s no way he’s settling-down material but he’s hard to resist with his inked sleeves and rebellious ways, not to mention piercings in places that make Ashe melt. Brodie Steele is dangerous, delicious, and suddenly determined to have her.
If there’s anything more risky than laying his heart on the line for this sexy woman, it’s Ashe’s job. It puts her life in danger in a way he can’t possibly protect her from. Can their hot bond win out over the bad blood of years past? Or will Ashe be taken from Brodie before she lets him into her heart?

Steele, Into Your Heart Excerpt © Rie Warren 2015
I tossed my phone through the open window of my Chevy, opened the door,
and stowed Ashe inside.
Before I shut her in, I leaned over to brush my mouth against hers,
plunging my tongue to swirl inside her wet heat.
When I got in the driver’s side she turned to me. “We’re getting the
seats wet.”
“You can take off your dress right now if you want.” I grinned in what
had to be an absolutely unwholesome way.
She sat back with a shaky laugh. Ashe was flustered. She was almost never
flustered. I really liked it.
I put the truck in gear and we roared out of the parking lot. I probably
left tire marks on the tar. Windows down for the fresh air but A/C on because
it was still blazing hot outside, Ashe and I sped along Isle of Palms toward
Sullivan’s Island wrapped in a bubble of sexual tension so tight it was close
to bursting.
Not a single word was said because the next thing to come out of my mouth
would be, “Clothes, off, now.”
My legs were so tense they nearly shook. I held the steering wheel with a
white knuckled grip. I usually drove the way any good country boy did, with one
wrist used to steer. Not tonight. Not when
Ashe fidgeted next to me, plucking at the top of her dress. It quickly
suctioned back to her breasts. Not helping, but oh so sexy. Pornographic sexy.
It was fully dark fifteen minutes later when I pulled into my driveway. I
helped Ashe out, grabbed her bags, took her hand, and ushered her to the big
front porch.
“This is your house? And I thought you said mine was fancy. You’ve got a
river view from here, Brodie.”
Gas lanterns on either side of the cheery red door blazed, the sweltering
night absent of any breeze the porch swing sat still. Tremendous hanging
baskets flowered like crazy.
“Parents’ house. Well, it was. Let’s not talk about that now.” After I
set her bags down, I fingered the hem of her dress, lifting it up her thighs.
“Take it off.”
“Brodie, no. We’re standing on your porch,” Ashe protested.
“I’ll cut off the lights.”
“Public indecency.”
“Arrest me already.”
I shut the lights off, and heard the wet slap of her dress on the porch
floor. I dropped my suit—what was left of it—where I stood. There was a whisper
of something light floating to the floor—her bra and panties. My belt buckle
made a clanging noise. Ashe’s breath hitched as my eyes adjusted to the
darkness.
Curves, glorious curves, illuminated by moonlight. I touched a puckered
nipple then circled it with my thumb. With my other hand, I gave a long slow
stroke up my swollen cock.
When she whimpered, I moved fast. I pushed her against the door face
first, caging her with my body from behind.
“Oh my God,” she moaned.
I sent my lips over her shoulder and up to her ear. “Oh my God, Brodie. Say it.”
“I . . . I can’t!”
“Wrong words.” I stepped back to drag my pulsing cock up and down her
ass. “Know where I am right now?”
“Oh my God, Brodie!” Her voice quivered.
I caught her earlobe between my teeth and let it go. Holding her hips
against me, I ran my dick up and down her cleft several times, loving the
curves of her ass nice and snug around me. “Better. Now, open the door so we
can go inside. Unless you want us to
get arrested.”

Coming Summer 2015

Boomer Steele is big. He’s bad. He’s the Retribution MC pres. He’s been dealt the worst hand imaginable and bears the scars inside and out. Not that anyone knows it. He’s watched his younger brother and sister hook up and hitch up with the loves of their lives, and now he’s the last Steele standing alone. Maybe he should keep it that way.
Then one feisty honey makes him feel, gets in his grill, pisses him off.
She goes by the name of Rayce. And that’s exactly what she does on her motocross bike when she’s not busy getting her hands dirty with her fellow grease monkeys as the only female mechanic at Stone’s Garage. She’s into fixing bikes, racing hers, and making Boomer’s life a living hell just for the fun of it. Oh, and she hates being treated like a girl.
Sparks flying? That’s an understatement where these two are concerned. Yet when Rayce needs a place to live, and Boomer offers her a room in his house, their unquenchable attraction wins out over antagonism. Sometimes. Rayce’s crappy upbringing makes her think love is for stupid fools asking for heartbreak. She’s not willing to go there for any man. Not even Boomer Steele.
The bigger they are, the harder they fall.
