Synopsis

Nothing is going Lizzie’s way. Her sex life is unsatisfying, her job sucks and she has more debt than she needs thanks to her loser brother. Review

I really enjoyed this short erotic romance. My only complaint is that I wished it were longer!!  Lizzie is broken down. Stuck in an emotionally abusive and sexually unsatisfying relationship she has zero self-esteem and puts no effort into her appearance. Her job situation is no better and the bills are piling up! When her best friend, Bel suggests auctioning herself off to the highest bidder at the upscale club she works at Lizzie thinks she’s crazy! But after a top to bottom makeover Lizzie is feeling a bit better about the idea and decides to go for it! She ends up getting a little more than she bargained for when the sexy club owner and his equally sexy MMA fighter brother bid and win a sex filled 48 hours with her!  I don’t want to give too much more away but this short story is jammed packed with steamy sex scenes and a really good story line. This is the first book in the series and I really hope to see more of these characters in future books!

Synopsis

Review

This book continues from where the last book finished. You are in Shyla’s apartment and Eric is there with her. Eric says that he just wants to talk to her, get her to understand Taylor and open up to the fact that there is some kind of feelings between them. Eric wants to know if she feels the same connection that he did when they first met. “And I think you liked me too, and I need you to think back to that day at the bar and realize that I am the same guy and you can trust me.”

Taylor storms into the apartment after hearing this on the phone call, this is where Shyla’s life seems to take a bit of a twisted turn. They come up with a scenario that would punish Eric for all that he has done to Shyla and also to Taylor. She agrees that it is the best thing to do, this causes Eric to go on the run and Shyla constantly looking over her shoulder. Eric’s visit to her, has made her have some questions and she is unsure what to do with them.

Trying to move on from Eric’s attack, Shyla soon gets some more information from the investigator that she struggles with, she doesn’t quite know how to tell Taylor or even to tell him at all. She goes on a visit to see her mum, which seemed like a good idea for her and Taylor to have some time apart. However once Taylor’s name is mentioned in a conversation things seem to get closed off between them. Her mum goes into a shell and doesn’t talk to Shyla about what it is that bothers her. A few weeks later the answers as to why she suddenly closed off become clear. We find out that Taylor and Shyla have known each other a lot longer than they thought.

The relationship between Taylor and Shyla in this book seems to have become quite trying and at times a struggle. This is because of the secrets Shyla is keeping and also because all is not as it appears with Taylor. They still have their very intimate and adventurous sex life, but the personal aspect of their relationship seems to be in trouble. Taylor seems to open up at times and then close off as quickly at other times. “I love you. You may not hear me say this much, and you might even question it because of the way I am, or the things I do, but when you do, think back on this moment and know that it will never change.”

The ending to this book, much like the first you want to know why it has ended there. You also want to know what happens next in their story. This book, had many more twists in it then the first and at times has you questioning everything and everyone. Taylor is defiantly not who he seems to be, or its made to look that way. I need to know the answers. Well done Nina G Jones on another completely gripping read.

Wow! I started this book last night and I honestly couldn’t put it down! I was sucked in from the first page of this heartbreaking story about love, loss and the consequences of deception (lol, see what I did there 😉 )

Sloane has experienced more than her share of tragedy but with the end in sight she is feeling hopeful once again. All that changes when the man she once loved, the one that broke her heart, does the unimaginable, he buys her…… Sloane and Killian had known each other since childhood and the feelings they shared were strong.  There was only one problem; Sloane was 17 and Killian 23. Killian insists that they wait until she turns 18 to be together, but before that can happen disaster strikes and Killian blames Sloane. Four and a half years later, just when Sloane is on the cusp of freedom, Killian informs her that he has bought and paid for a year of her life to do as he pleases with her. She knows he hates her and he terrifies her but a part of Sloane has always loved Killian.  The sex in this book is super-hot! Killian is the kind of hero that you love to hate and I wasn’t sure if he was redeemable. My heart ached for Sloane through a lot of this book and I was moved to tears at some of the things she had to endure. There is a strong BDSM element and the mystery in the story kept me guessing the whole way through. This was my first book by Ella Fox but it definitely won’t be my last!
