5 SMOOCHES
SNYOPSIS
Beards, brothers, and bikers! Oh my!
Identical twins Beau and Duane Winston might share the same devastatingly handsome face, but where Beau is outgoing and sociable, Duane is broody and reserved. This is why Jessica James, recent college graduate and perpetual level headed good girl, has been in naïve and unhealthy infatuation with Beau Winston for most of her life. His friendly smiles make her tongue-tied and weak-kneed, and she’s never been able to move beyond her childhood crush. Whereas Duane and Jessica have always been adversaries. She can’t stand him, and she’s pretty sure he can’t stand the sight of her…
But after a case of mistaken identity, Jessica finds herself in a massive confusion kerfuffle. Jessica James has spent her whole life paralyzed by the fantasy of Beau and her assumptions of Duane’s disdain; therefore she’s unprepared for the reality that is Duane’s insatiable interest, as well as his hot hands and hot mouth and hotter looks. Not helping Jessica’s muddled mind and good girl sensibilities, Duane seems to have gotten himself in trouble with the local biker gang, the Iron Order.
Certainly, Beau’s magic spell is broken. Yet when Jessica finds herself drawn to the man who was always her adversary, now more dangerous than ever, how much of her level-headed heart is she willing to risk?

REV’IEW
“I hope you wander into a hornet’s nest and die of an acetylcholine overdose” I spat. “You say the prettiest things.”
Duane, Oh Duane, Duane, Duane . . . I expected you to be fun, I expected you to be gruff . . . I never in a million years expected you to steal my heart from the first chapter and I was head over heals for him till the very end. Truth or Beard looks from the outside like a quirky and fun book but hidden within it’s pages is a tear inducing love story that had me desperate to connect with another human and explain all the feels I was having.
“I was going to kiss her. But first I was going to strangle her.”
Jess has had a crush of Beau for as long as she remembers, so much so that in his presence she is unable to form coherent thoughts and sentences. She does not have the same issue with Beau’s irritating and brooding twin brother, Duane. Duane Winston can get under her skin like no one else and never in a million years would Jess have imagined that after one accidental kiss would Duane be the brother who she couldn’t stop thinking about. But Jess has big plans to get out and see the world and she refuses to tie herself down to the small mountain town they live in for the rest of her life.
“Jessica, arguing with you is one of my favorite things to do.”
Duane Winston has know he loved Jess since they were kids and throw sass at every silly or dumb idea he had. When she left for college he knew they would never happen (plus the fact that she liked his twin and has not hidden that very well) but now 4 years later she has returned and he knows now is the time to make a move. But their love has an expiration date and Duane knows this.
I’m actually kind of serious. I think if you breathed on me I’d orgasm.”
A love story at it’s core, Duane and Beau are also fighting a battle with the local MC Club that seems like they are doomed. These characters have me so hooked I don’t know how I can be expected to wait for the next book. Every brother in this kooky family has me intrigued (especially Cleatus) and their banter was genius and delightful! Jess and Duane stole my heart and I ached for their pain and rejoiced in their joy. The sign of any good book is that it makes you feel and this one had a vast array of feelings in boatloads.
“I wanted her to stay. I knew she had to go.”
Funny, emotional, dramatic and full of dynamic characters and a story that was impossible to put down I can honestly say that Truth Or Beard is one of my favorite books I have read this year so far and cannot wait to read more of this exciting new series.
