Camden McMahon has never trusted witches. He’s willing to temporarily overlook his animosity and work with a coven in order to put an end to the threat against his family. Then he meets the daughter of their high priestess, a gifted witch in her own right—and Camden’s fated mate.
Selene Trevil has always treasured the magic which flows through her veins. Until it calls out to Camden and marks him as her intended consort. A relationship between a shifter and a witch is unheard of, but resisting his pull is impossible.
Will Camden and Selene have to bear the burden of the past? Or will their love be enough to overcome all the obstacles standing in their way?
Review
I love Rochelle Paige, she knows how to deliver a fast, exciting and heartfelt story every time. Bear The Burden is the third book in the McHanon Clan series and while the series revolves around bear shifters it also includes multiple species, with a main focus in this book being witches. Camden and Selene are a pair unlike any we have seen yet. With constant tension between witches and shifters these two must bridge a gap during one of the most trying of times.
“From now on, you’ll never have to look far to find me. I’ll be exactly where I belong – with you.”
With Camden being the last of the triplets to pair off I was super curious to see who he would end up with. Never would I have imagine him partnered off with a witch and for them to be fulfilling a prophecy that would unite the witches and shifters. Camden and Selene have an instant attraction and waste no time in acting on it. Rochelle yet again delivered some hot as hell sex scenes intertwined with a plot that was hard to put down.
As sad as it is to see all the brother’s mated off I am desperately hoping that Carrick, the unmated family patriarch, gets his own story. After all these books I feel so sad for him and all he has been through. If you are a fan of paranormal (and even if you are new to it and looking for a great place to start) I highly recommend this series. Fun, steamy and action packed you won’t be let down.
