Synopsis

THIS BOOK! This book was everything I wanted it to be and so so so much more!

Long ago (well it feels that way anyway! I fell in love with Brooke and Remy in Real and while I have loved every book in the series since then none have given me the tingly butterflies in my stomach since then . . . until now. Legend takes us all back to where it started with a romance so reminiscent of that in Real and yet so unique on its own. Remy, Brooke, Racer and the whole team Riptide crew play a HUGE role in this book that felt more like a homecoming than anything else.

Maverick Cage lives in his estranged father’s shadow and is quickly learning that is not a welcoming place to be. Reese Dumas is spending the summer as a nanny for her cousin Brooke and following them around as Brooke’s husband, Remy, travels the underground circuit. After a chance meeting when Reese shows the unloved Maverick an ounce of kindness the lives of these two are forever altered and everything they know and think they want is out to the test.

Maverick Cage doesn’t make loving him easy but he makes in impossible not to. A daring combination of dangerous and kind. A loner needing love, he shows us early on that he will do whatever is necessary to have what he wants. Up for the fight of his life he is determined to take down the reining champ and show everyone what he is capable of. Reese is sweet and funny but with a hidden past. She lacks confidence but around Maverick she says and does things she never thought she could. They are perfection.

I loved so much about this book. I loved catching up with all the characters that I fell in love with in the beginning. I love watching the old generation mix and the complicated dynamic between them and most of all I love how no matter how hard I tried I could not put this book down. Katy’s writing is magnetic and the story all encompassing. Hot, enthralling and beautifully written Legend is sure to make my best of 2016 list.
