That said, CAGED was a real labor of love for me. Ollie is a guy who had a lot of tragedy dealt to him in a short period of time, and his response was to close himself off. The best defense is a good offense—and he guarded his heart against all possible injury. This included, sadly for my heroine, her. She was his best gal pal, his first girlfriend, and the one who got left behind. When he comes home a hockey hero, she’s determined to give them both a second chance at the love they lost.
