One week.

Kaitlyn Parker has no problem being the invisible girl, which is why she finds herself hiding in various cabinets and closets all over her college campus. Despite her best efforts, she can’t escape the notice of Martin Sandeke—bad boy, jerkface bully, and the universe’s hottest, wealthiest, and most unobtainable bachelor—who also happens to be Kaitlyn’s chemistry lab partner.

Can she overcome her aversion to being noticed? Will he be able grow beyond his self-centered nature? Or, despite their obvious chemistry, will Martin be the one to drive Kaitlyn into the science cabinet of obscurity for good?

I love how the titles of these three books very much capture the mood they encompass. As much as Attraction was all about the flirting and figuring out this new attraction, Heat is very much that, HOT. Kaitlyn and Martin have both acknowledged they are attracted to one another and while it scares virginal Kaitlyn, the depth of what she already after a short period of time, feels she cannot hold back the hormones that ravaged all of us at that age.
“Touching you right now is meaningful for me. Tasting you, taking you now, here, would be meaningful for me. But it’s not going to be meaningful for you . . . unless you’re passionate about me.”
Martin and Kaitlyn could not be more different, she is an introvert who would rather be reading and he is a jock and a very social guy and while on paper there two should not work when put together and stars align they find out they are just what the other needs. While on an island away from the real world everything feels right and perfect but they can’t stay on that island forever and soon outside influences change the way they see each other and where their relationship is heading.

Cliffy Alert! Cliffy Alert!! While personally cliffhangers do not bother me so I don’t usually dwell on them the author has been very open to the fact that this part does end in a cliffhanger (and yes it is a doozy) but no fear the third and final part is out VERY shortly and I promise it is one you too will live through. Penny’s writing is witty, smart and relevant that is full of sass and surprises.

With each installment in this new series that I read by Penny I am convinced that this is the best work she has yet produced. Sexy, angsty and full of wit these books are everything I look for in a new adult series and so much more. It might only be April but my prediction is that the Elements Of Chemistry will definitely be on our Top Reads of 2015!
