Hit The Spot by J. Daniels Review

5 Smooches

Synopsis
Is this love or just a game?
Tori Rivera thinks Jamie McCade is rude, arrogant, and worst of all . . . the sexiest man she’s ever laid eyes on. His reputation as a player is almost as legendary as his surfing skills. No matter how her body heats up when he’s around, she’s determined not to be another meaningless hookup.
Jamie McCade always gets what he wants. The sickest wave. The hottest women. And Tori, with her long legs and smart mouth, is definitely the hottest one. He knows Tori wants him-hell, most women do-but she won’t admit it. After months of chasing and one unforgettable kiss, it’s time for Jamie to raise the stakes.
Jamie promises that soon Tori won’t just want him in her bed, she’ll be begging for it-and he might be right. Somehow he’s found the spot in her heart that makes her open up like never before. But with all she knows about his past, can she really trust what’s happening between them? Is Jamie playing for keeps or just playing to win?
This book can be read as a stand-alone.
Review
“I’m taken,” I repeated. “You ain’t taken, Legs. Not unless you’re with me.”
After reading Four Letter Word, the first standalone in the series, I was very intrigued by Jamie and Tori. As much as I loved the first book I was almost more interested in these two, with their perfect banter and willingness to drag a fight out. I needed more from OTT Alpha Jamie and his relentless perusal of the reluctant Tori. And let me tell you , I got all that and so much more.
‘Wanting this girl was the biggest fucking headache of my life. If it weren’t for the glimpses I’d gotten of that soft she was hiding underneath, I wouldn’t think it was worth it.’
Sexy surfer Jamie has been after waitress Tori for nine months. Despite her constantly turning him down he knows she wants him. Despite her saying he repulses her he knows she is close to giving in. Just when he is ready to give up and accept she will never be his, she gives him a small glimpse of the truth. Before they know what is happening a bet is formed and the first one to beg to give in to their desires loses. Neither is going to make this easy for the other and watching them make the other sweat is so friggin’ good.
“Let me tell you my truths.”
Hit The Spot is not an angst driven romance but don’t worry. It’s full of sexual tension, laugh out moments, a man you want in your life and some very very very erotic scenes. J. Daniel hit the nail on the head with this one. Jamie was all alpha male. He was protective, possessive and a lot bossy. But Tori didn’t take any of it sitting down. She fought him every step of the way and the end goal, love, was hard earned. Hit The Spot had me staying up way past my bedtime to finish the book, something I rarely ever do, and it was worth every moment of lost sleep. Read this book when you want lots of dirty talk, some great fighting banter, and a beautiful love story.
