Synopsis

Women loathed me without even knowing my name. Men coveted the very idea of me.

Escort. Call girl. Prostitute. Hooker. Whore.

I’d heard it all. Done it all.

Over the years I’d felt a lot of things about my occupation…but not regret–never regret. I had my reasons for doing what I did and nothing and no one had ever made me question them.

UNTIL MARCO VALENTI.

He’d changed me and I’d naively fed into the fairy tale.

But Marco wasn’t my Prince Charming. He had secrets of his own. Secrets that would eventually rip away everything I held dear.

Review

‘The warm feeling that had invaded my chest remained, but my stomach fell into a nauseous churning. Somehow my body knew what I didn’t already. Marco Valenti would be the springboard in my life that caused everything to change.’

I am a longtime fan of Elisabeth Grace so when I say that this is her best bet you can know that I have read and loved quite a few of them. Full of suspense, surprises ad some of the sexiest scenes ever I was pulled in right away and once I started there was no way I could stop. Typically I do not read a ton of erotica, my heart usually lies with New Adult and Contemporary, but this story is so unique and intriguing it was impossible not to love it.

‘I found myself wondering what it would be like to kiss him. Granted, kissing was all part of the program, but I’d never wanted to kiss a client before.’

‘Brandi’ is a high end escort in Vegas and while she doesn’t love her job she does what she needs to in order to take care of those she truly loves. ‘Brandi’ is impossible not to love and sympathize for and while I hate that she has had to work the job she does I can still somehow understand why she does it.  Content to live life the way it has been going and to know that a relationship and love was not in the cards with her she was still decently happy but not fully living. Then EVERYTHING changed when the door opened to reveal her newest client, sexy Italian Marco Valenti.

Marco, Marco, Marco. The two of them are immediately drawn to each other though she does fight it. Marco is very rich alpha billionaire material. He has so many secrets that for every answer we get we have ten more questions. I loved him deeply. He was protective and kind and while he wanted control he never treated her like she was just a call girl. He makes it abundantly clear that from early on he feels more. What makes this book for me is how much I loved both main characters despite the fact that they could not be more different.

“You’re mine. Do you understand? I don’t care what your fucking job is. You. Are. Mine.”

Everything is shrouded in secrets and while you cannot deny the pull they have over one another it is clear early on that nothing is going to be okay. Hook has the cliffhanger rof all cliffhanger (come on you know that is coming whenever the word Duet is used to describe a book,) But please do not let the dreaded cliffy keep you from reading this amazing book I promise book 2, Burn, is coming really soon (June 2016.)
