How To Date A Douchebag by Sara Ney Review

5 Smooches

Synopsis
CRUDE. ARROGANT. A**HOLE.
No doubt about it, Sebastian ‘Oz’ Osborne is the university’s most celebrated student athlete—and possibly the biggest douchebag. A walking, talking cliché, he has a filthy mouth, a fantastic body, and doesn’t give a sh*t about what you or anyone else thinks.
SMART. CLASSY. CONSERVATIVE.
Make no mistake, Jameson Clarke may be the university’s most diligent student—but she is no prude. Spending most of her time in the hallowed halls of the library, James is wary of pervs, jocks, and douchebags—and Oz Osborne is all three.
She’s smart, sarcastic—and not what he expected.
…EVERY DOUCHBAG HAS HIS WEAKNESS.
He wants to be friends.
He wants to spend time with her.
He wants to drive her crazy.
He wants…
Her.
Review
‘I mean, my pride is taking a real beating here. It’s not every day that I’m dismissed, and certainly not by some nobody in the damn library, a dull classmate with a long stick shoved up her entitled ass.’
How To Date A Douchebag is New Adult Rom Com GOLD! No seriously! I already knew from reading a few of her previous works that I enjoyed Sara Ney’s fun, smart and quirky writing but this book took my love for her style to a whole new level. I had a copy of the book sitting on my kindle for a few weeks now and my schedule is so tight I didn’t get a chance to read it until right before the release and I am so mad at myself now for holding out that long. Seriously I devoured every page in one day. I read while cleaning (not a small task), I read while cooking, I read while playing with the kids, I read while eating dinner at the table. I laugh out loud at inappropriate moments (like hubby trying to tell me about his hard day.) I just could not put this book down.
“Shhhh,” she admonishes. “Quiet please. When you talk, it makes me want to slap some sense into you.”
I went into the book thinking there is no way the main man, Oz, is really a douchebag. Let me tell you he really is. Now wait, I know what you are thinking. You just can’t get behind a douche for a leading man. But he is the sweetest kind. While unapologetic about his choices and lifestyle he also can’t help but want to develop a friendship for the buttoned up girl he met in the library who blew him off and never falls for his lines. Something about him is sweet and even innocent, which for a sex crazed playboy that is pretty impressive. Then there is Jameson. She appears innocent and docile but she has bite and puts him in his place constantly. She was surprising and unexpected and I want nothing more in life than to be her friend. Together their banter had me rolling and their sexual frustration has me sweating.
‘God she’s adorable when she’s argumentative, all in a snit. Blue eyes blazing bright, alive with interest,’
Sara Ney brought her A game with this book and has firmly planted herself in my “YOU MUST READ THIS NOW” category.
