Synopsis

He’s not perfect, but he’s all I want…

I’m your average girl at your average high school, trying to figure out my place in life. After catching my now ex-boyfriend messing around with my now ex-best friend, I’ve made some big changes. No more band, no more backstabbing friends and no more boring old life. Now I have new friends, a new job and new interests.

But there’s a certain someone who’s interested in me, and I don’t get it. Jordan Tuttle could have anyone he wants. He’s the most popular boy in school. Rich, gorgeous, smart and the star quarterback, he’s perfect. Yet he acts like he wants no one else but…me.

So despite my fears and doubt, I let him get close. Probably too close. I discover that he’s not so perfect after all, but it doesn’t matter. I’m falling for him, even though he runs so hot and cold. I know someday he’s going to break my heart.

And I’m going to let him.

Review

More Than Friends is the follow up book to the New Adult angst filled book, Just Friends. I loved the first book because it had everything I want in my YA reads. Over the top drama and insanely drawn out angst. I know this kind of crazy intense angsty reads are not for everyone but I personally thrive on them. While I really enjoyed Amanda and Jordan’s story I did not find it as drama ridden as book one. Not saying that it is all easy going but not nearly as over the top as Just Friends was.

More Than Friends is a sexy YA with a boy with issues and a girl looking for love. Monica’s writing draws you in, painting a vivid picture of these young adults trying to figure out love. I always enjoy her writing style and this was no exception.  I fell hard for Tuttle and he was the driving force behind my love for the story.

YA and NA fans will definitely enjoy this new story and while it could be read as a standalone I personally recommend giving the first book, Just Friends a shot first, you won’t regret it.
