Synopsis
Murder. Lies. Betrayal.
I deal with those things every day. My name is Jason Avery, one of the best undercover agents in the country. I have yet to fail on a mission, which is why I’ve been sent to Vegas. Countless women have been abducted, tortured, only to show up dead in the middle of the night. It’s my job to find out which sick fuck is responsible. Unfortunately, every lead sends me to a dead end; at least, until Aylee McFadden shows up at my door.
Aylee is a stubborn, headstrong FBI agent and also one of the sexiest women I’ve ever seen with a gun. In joining me, it gives us the leverage we need to get on the inside. She fights me at every turn, but soon realizes there’s more to me than tattoos and a dirty mouth. I can’t get enough of her. Now that we’re in the game, we’re one step closer to solving the crime. However, gambling with money isn’t what the big boys want. They want the one thing I’m not willing to give.
It’s a no limit game, and if I back down I lose everything. I will lose her.

Jason Avery is cocky and arrogant, and he’s one of the top undercover agents in the country. Brought in on a case in Las Vegas at the request of the chief of police, Jason is tasked with finding a suspected serial killer responsible for abducting and torturing women before he kills and then dumps them. For the first time ever, Jason is running into wall after wall on the case, and he’s been warned that the FBI is growing increasingly interested and impatient.
Aylee McFadden isn’t what she appears to be. A seasoned undercover FBI agent, she paints a very sultry picture with her striking red hair and a body honed from years in the field. But Aylee is way more than her beauty; she is smart, she is strong and she is tough.
“Why are all the hot guys such douchebags?”
After a very tense first meeting, Aylee finds Jason to be an ill tempered, over confident jerk. Both of them are used to working alone, and neither trusts easily. Jason is torn between his attraction to Aylee and his dislike of being partnered with an FBI agent. They both acknowledge that they’re going to have to open up to each other to gain that trust for this partnership to work.
Rubbing elbows with the most elite and elusive of Vegas’ high rollers, Aylee and Jason have narrowed their mission’s focus to a small group of very powerful men. Breaching these men’s inner circle using Jason’s card playing skills along with Aylee’s beauty and sexuality as bait, they are forced to play games with the highest stakes imaginable.

Jason doesn’t like it, not one bit, but they don’t have a choice. They have to see the mission through. As time passes, Aylee and Jason have not only earned each other’s trust and respect, but they’re falling for each other as well. Their connection is so strong, their chemistry so positively electric, that they can’t help but give in to it. Unfortunately, the men they are investigating are also completely captivated by Aylee’s charms, and, much to Jason’s dismay, each one of them wants his turn with her. She’s proven her abilities and skills to him and they have a plan, but it’s killing Jason that he’s not right there protecting her.

I don’t want to spoil any part of the mystery, but it was an exciting and surprising conclusion to that portion of the storyline. But what will become of Aylee and Jason’s budding relationship now that the case has drawn to a close? With Aylee living in Maine and Jason in North Carolina, can – or will – they make a long distance relationship work? Or will Aylee bail on Jason before he can hurt her?

LP Dover’s No Limit is a fantastic romantic suspense novel with a very interesting, exciting and sexy story line. The love story of Jason and Aylee and the mystery are each given equal focus and attention in this book, and it works amazingly well. I was completely invested and flipping the pages for more of both sides of this story. A solid 4 smooches from me!
