Synopsis

Three years have passed since Dare Wilde walked out of Reagan McKinley’s life. Three years of radio silence. Three years of regrets.

But she’s not the same girl anymore. Now, at twenty-two, Reagan has big plans to change her life, and it all starts with a trip to Europe. Instead of heading into Harvard Law like her parents had planned, she’s crossed the ocean to follow her dreams in the art world. Her dreams. For once.

A chance meeting in Paris brings Reagan and Dare face-to-face again, but is it serendipity…or penance? A chasm of unspoken hurt stands between them, but they can’t fight the passion they have for each other. And now that she’s found Dare again—the one person in this world who makes her feel whole—she doesn’t want to let go. Problem is, she may not have a choice.

Two parts. One whole.

Together…they’re out of control

Review

Out Of Control is part two of six in the Untamed serial by Victoria Green and Jinsey Reese. Dare and Reegan’s story is so beautiful yet so hard at times to read. You want so much for them to get past all the bullshit and just be together because, damnit, anyone reading this can see how much they NEED to just be together.

So, I totally fell for Dare and Reegan’s story in Untamed and was dying, although a bit scared to continue in Out of Control. I mean three years have passed, THREE YEARS! This just breaks my little heart! Although necessary for the story, I am never a big fan of time passing like that, for some reason all that wasted time just makes me so sad for them. All the same, Out of Control picks up three years after Untamed in Paris where Reegan is working for the gallery for the summer and surprisingly where Dare is living.

It is clear from the moment you see these two together again that the special spark they have is still there, but here is where it gets heartbreaking, Dare is determined to push Reegan away. She hurt him so bad he just cannot relive that. Although personally, I believe this is such a pigheaded man move because he hurt her too when he disappeared (as she points out.) The sexual chemistry in this book is off the charts as I knew it would be after reading Untamed. Dare is a bit more stubborn and hard headed, much as a hurt man often is. Reegan is somewhat more mature and understanding of the fact that she needs to get out from under her family’s thumb if she wants any kind of real life for herself.

I love me a serial but I have to say I am dying for these two to get their HEA. Reegan has her demons that I believe she will need to sort through first. And Dare, oh Dare he will have to work past his hurt of the rejection he felt from Reegan. I do believe these two can make it work (oh and they better) but I also belive that the authors are gonna make me work for it! Out of Control is very well written and I never would have guessed it had two authors. I cannot tell where one began and the other picked up. I am so exited for this story to continue, I think it is safe to say I am hooked!
