Review

Boone thought he had his life all going in the right direction. Not only is he a world famous signer and has lots of money, he also has the girl…or so he thought until she doesn’t turn up on his proposal night and it soon emerges that she’s run off with another guy. While he is drowning his sorrows at a bar he meets the fiery bartender Ripley, and soon sparks are flying between them. Ripley isn’t about to make it easy for Boone to win her over, she has a strict rule of not dating anyone famous and she has her own problems with trying to keep her bar afloat and dealing with a dad who does not treat her well. Will these two have their chance to be together or will obstacles keep getting in their path?

“She’s going to be as HOT as fire, and god help me, but I don’t care if we both burn.”

This was a sexy and fun read with two mains who were so easy to fall for. Boone was sexy as hell and protective and Ripley was sassy and determined. Their chemistry and back and forth with each other was entertaining to read and made their building relationship, which wasn’t a smooth process, kept me hooked wanting to see how things would end.

“You’re a good man, Boone.” His smile takes on a wicked edge. “I might be a good man, but I want to do very bad things to you.”

Boone was just drop dead sexy, so swoon worthy and a panty melting, smooth/dirty talker. I loved that despite being so famous he kept himself real. When he finally starts to convince Ripley that he’s worth breaking her rule for, we see this very protective side of him and how he wants to do all he can to help her. Ripley was one strong cookie! She could definitely hold her own and she remained standing and determined despite the obstacles in her way. She was funny and beautiful and I want her to be my BFF!

“Ripley moans into my mouth, and I slide my tongue inside to finally get a taste of her. I was wrong. She’s not just sweet, she’s spicy too.”

Their story and relationship was just so captivating. They go through a lot of shit and it’s definitely not an easy ride but nothing worth having is easy and that couldn’t be more true for these two. We are kept enthralled with their connection and the chemistry and sparks that fly off them made for one sexy read. We also have to stick by them during their hard times and I was rooting for these two right from the beginning! I can’t wait for the second, and concluding, story for these two and hope we don’t have too long of a wait!
