Ryker is the fourth standalone in the Cold Fury series by Sawyer Bennett and I was hooked from the beginning. I love an office romance and mix in a sexy hockey player and characters I have come to love and you get a book I couldn’t put down. I knew after reading Zack’s book that I was going to love Ryker, the man, and he was everything I imagined him to be. Kind-hearted and a great dad, he treats everyone with respect even his ex who really doesn’t deserve it. I honestly wish all real men were Rykers, the world would just be a better place.

Ryker Evans is the hot, slightly older (think early 30s to the other players 20s) single dad goalie who is making a comeback on the Cold Fury team. Balancing being a full time single parent to two little girls and professional hockey player does not leave much time to get back in the dating scene, especially getting back out there with his new boss. Gray Brannon is taking over her dads spot as General Manger of the team and it is not going over well with many of the players. As the first female GM in the NHL she has a lot to prove and getting involved with the one player who fully supports her might not be the best idea. But how long can they deny chemistry and remain just friends and co-workers?

The Cold Fury books are quickly becoming books I can count on to give me a well rounded story with characters I can count on loving. An easy read with just a touch of drama and angst, Ryker was the perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon.
