Review

“She’s lethal but sexy, quiet but strong.”

When K.A. Tucker opens a book it is always with a BANG and Surviving Ice is no different. Ivy is back in San Francisco after being a no mad for years. She is working at her uncle’s tattoo shop and for the first time in her adult life she is thinking about putting down roots and calling the place home. That is until in one of the only places she ever felt happy and comfortable, the shop, she witnesses  brutal double homicide Now all she wants is to run again but dealing with the estate and the investigation (not to mention the fact that some people are not happy she witnessed this murder) has her stuck in San Francisco. Enter Ice, Sebastian, our tough and disconnected alpha hero. Sent to find out how much Ivy knows he quickly finds himself opening up around her and wanting to keep her safe.

‘So maybe this is going to be a huge mistake, Maybe Sebastian is going to be the one who messes with my head. Maybe I should call it quits right now.’

Ivy was a badass heroine and isn’t afraid to speak her mind. Alternative in her style and the way she sees the world no one would picture her with someone like Sebastian. But for her he is just what she has been looking for. Ivy was beautifully complex and completely not just the tough girl she likes people to think. Sebastian has had a rough time in life and it show in the way he continues to attempt to survive. In my head I would have never have put these two complete opposite together but somehow when it comes from the brilliant mind of this amazing author it all works beautifully

“Who are you, really, Sebastian? Besides the stranger who strolled in and seized my heart.”

I will forever read anything that K.A. Tucker writes. I have read most of her books and not once been let down and Surviving Ice is no different. Intense and full of mystery, action and characters unlike any other I was intrigued from the start and excited to see where it was going. Once again K.A. Tucker proved why her books are automatic one-clicks for me!
