Synopsis

During the month of October, 100% of the proceeds from Tattoos and Tatas will be donated to breast cancer awareness.

Claire and Liz have always had a friendship that defied the test of time, but when one of them is diagnosed with a disease that every woman fears, their bond is put through the wringer. How do you cope knowing your soul mate could be taken from you?

Filled with memories of their life long friendship, inappropriate behavior, bad tattoos and shaving cats, the two friends will realize that laughter really is the best medicine.

Tattoos and TaTas is not your typical love story; it’s a story of friendship and learning how to let go when something is beyond your control.

Review

“You know, Drew and I play mammogram all the time. I read about the importance of doing self-breast exams and of course Drew wanted to be helpful. He’s so cute!”  “Do I even want to ask what exactly ‘playing mammogram’ entails?” “Well. Drew dresses up like a doctor and I put on a robe. Then , he takes two dinner plates from the kitchen and he smushes –“

WOOT! What a amazing Fun and Emotional quick read! This novella was a great look at the ladies of the Chocoholic Series in their slightly older years as well as a great look back at them before all the craziness started. I had absolutely no idea what to expect going into this story but was prepared for it too make me cry more than it would make me laugh. Leave it to Tara to give me the perfect mix of both!

“Give it a rest, Claire. You’re not the one-night-stand type and that’s perfectly okay. One slut in a friendship is one slut too many.”

While the present part of the book was sad and even at times tough to read, the past was hilarious. I loved watching how Claire and Liz’s friendship, business and families came to be. Their antics are ones that I kinda wish I could have been part of. I want . . . no NEED, friendships as deep as these ladies. But watching one of them go through the hardest time of her life tore at my heart and then watching the other have to watch her best friend become sick just completely did me in.

“She doesn’t need you to fix her, Liz. She just needs you to be there for her,”

Now, all that being said Tara still found a way to inject her personal sense of humor into one of the most serious and difficult topics there is. Tattoos and Tatas was by far the most emotional story in the series but at the same time was super easy to read and love. I highly recommend that fans of the series jump in on this and start reading you won’t regret it!

“Fuck cancer. Fuck not having your tits anymore because you’re going to get bigger and better tits in a few weeks and those fuckers won’t try to kill you. You’re going to be fine because you have to be fine.”
