First comes love.

Then comes marriage.

Then comes the… really nasty divorce.

Kate Carter thought she married her soul mate. She thought she had her happily ever after. But seven years into Kate’s marriage, she realizes that her husband Nick is not what she wanted. He’s selfish, he’s oblivious and he doesn’t love her anymore.

Maybe she doesn’t love him anymore either.

Divorce is the only option if either of them wants to find happiness.

Kate and Nick thought they knew what they wanted, but neither is prepared for the heartache that separating will bring them. The journey they embark on is not the freedom they wished for, but a painful look at the people they’ve become.

At the end of it, Kate has to decide if this is really the life she wants or if maybe there’s a way to salvage her broken heart.

Passion In Paradise Duo by Sarah O’Rourke Release Blitz and Giveaway

Title: Passion in Paradise Duo
Novels Included: Cain’s Salvation & Hard as Stone
Author: Sarah O’Rourke
Genre: Erotic Romance Suspense
Release Date: September 22, 2015
In the small, sleepy Southern town of Paradise, not everything is as it seems. Nestled in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, the tiny country town seems like it would be the perfect spot to raise a family, build a life and enjoy living in what most natives call ‘God’s Country’. What no one seems to realize is that there are secrets hiding in the families of this quaint little community – especially the McKinnon clan.
And everyone knows, in a family, secrets never stay secret for long.

“Cain’s Salvation was a quick, sweet read that had some pretty intense moments. There were also some light moments that balanced everything out. The characters were great and I’m pretty sure that there is more to everyone’s story. That kind of makes me happy because I wouldn’t mind spending a little bit more time in Paradise with the McKinnon sisters and the men that they tend to drive just a little bit crazy.” ~ Hard as Stone from Creative Deeds

“Sarah O’Rourke has written a truly beautiful story about military life, love, and forgiveness. There are not enough words to explain how much I LOVED this story! And can’t wait for more from the rest of the McKinnon Sisters!” ~ Cain’s Salvation from Swoon Worthy Books

“The writing is fabulous, it flows so easily as scene after scene packs a punch filled with everything- comedy, tragedy, romance and of course those very hot and naughty scenes with our main couple. I’m beyond excited for this series to continue. The characters are brilliant and pop right off the page and into your heart. The writing is engaging and the dialogue is superb.” ~ Hard as Stone from an Amazon Reviewer

“Hard as Stone was an emotional roller-coaster for my mind, heart and soul, there were highs and lows; I never knew where the story was going to take me. Who knew a gunshot wound and a trip to the E.R. could be the funniest thing ever!! The dialog between these close friends added a sense of togetherness. When the truth is revealed you find yourself wondering should she forgive him. Is love worth talking another chance? And of course you want the next book in the series cause the crazy sister is next!” ~ Hard as Stone from Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

Synopsis

When a mysterious text message summons May Wexler to a biker bar in downtown New Orleans, she knows something is very wrong. Her sister has sent out an SOS, but when May gets there, she’s nowhere to be found and May is the one in trouble—she’s wearing pink espadrilles, she’s got a Chihuahua in her purse, and she’s in the middle of a shootout.

After tall, muscular Ozzie comes to her rescue, May has no choice but to follow him to safety. At the headquarters of his private security firm, the Bourbon Street Boys, she finds a refuge for the night—and the offer of a job. But it’s not long before a gun-toting stalker isn’t the only complication in May’s life: the more time she spends with Ozzie, the less she can deny that they’ve got some serious chemistry. A wrong number got her into this mess…Will it also get her the right guy?

Review

“Would I have bothered to rescue you from the bar if I planned to kill you?” “How am I supposed to know? I’m not a crazy person.” “Neither am I.” “Could’ve fooled me.”

I am a big fan of Elle Casey and a Rom Com fan overall. Wrong Number, Right Guy was a fun campy alpha read full of action, silliness and a all too sexy man! Yes Please!

“So how in the hell am I going to listen to my brain telling me to stay the heck away from him when my body is constantly wanting to reach out and touch his glorious muscles?”

Thanks to a text message that she thought was from her sister, May ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time. But thanks to a biker with a messy beard she is saved from a dangerous situation but the trouble continue to follows her. To keep her safe Ozzie must bring her to his work at the Bourbon Street Boys where she meets his crazy set of friends and co-workers at the PI’s office. Putting her photography skills to good use she starts to work with the team keeping her safe. But she finds the hardest part of the job is staying away from the dark and mysterious boss, Ozzie, who seems to mostly grunt and glare at her. These two have dynamic chemistry and Ozzie was a amazing and protective alpha male.

“I never thought a guy touching himself would turn me on, but I was wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong-wrong-wrong.”

Full of hilarious situations and characters I absolutely loved this was a great fun read. Fast paced and action pack you will be laughing all night and unable to put it down.

And for the first time, he knows what it means to truly want something.

So he gives in to being her friend. Then to wanting her. Then to kissing her. And within the freedom of his impulsivity, both of their carefully planned lives begin to fall apart…

Review

“Glasses? Lord, cute boys in glasses are my kryptonite.”

This Book Will Change Your Life is my first book by Amanda Weaver and was a fun and light read in the New Adult genre. Hannah is a college freshman on the path to be a great chemist like her dad but when a rainstorm has her dating into a used bookstore she has no clue that that moment and the boy she meets, Ben, will alter the path of her future.

Ben is a senior in college and always has been a lover of books and when a drenched Hannah enters the store he works at it is clear that she is no reader. When she asks him for a recommendation on where to start reading a friendship is formed while Hannah slowly falls in love with books and the stories and characters within.

“This is the best sex I’ve ever had, and we’re not even having it yet.”

I fell in love with both Hannah and Ben from the start of this book and by the end was in love with them again but I honestly struggled with them in the middle. At times I found them quite repetitive in attempting to get past their struggles (or in actuality avoid their struggles) and would have loved to see them communicate better. While Hannah acted like a normal eighteen year old girl I still had a hard time with her jumping to conclusions and running from Ben whenever an issue arises. Ben was sweet but slow to get on the Hannah train but once he was I loved him. He didn’t always make the best decisions but the amount of pressure put on him would make anyone waiver.

Overall the book was an enjoyable standalone new adult read that was told from dual povs. I read the story straight through and never felt like I was forcing myself to continue. If you enjoy fast low ansgt reads with characters who have a passion for books that translates to every page than this is a book for you.

What happens when the one you want is the only one you can’t have?

My name is Sevin.

Homeschooled and sheltered by my ultra-religious family, I was always taught that lust was a sin.

Elle was the girl who’d been carefully chosen for me.

After a long-distance courtship, I’d be moving into her family’s guesthouse so that we could get to know each other in the months before the wedding.

Boundaries were set: no inappropriate touching, no kissing, no sex before marriage.

I’d accepted those rules and my fate.

Until I met the one I wanted to sin with.

That was when restraint became a problem…especially since THE ONE wasn’t Elle.

It was her sister, Evangeline.

You know what they say about best laid plans.

My name is Sevin, and I have sinned.

Told in alternating points of view, Sins of Sevin is a full-length standalone novel.

Contains graphic sexual content and harsh language.

Only appropriate for adult readers

age 18+.

Excerpt

Without another word to me, he picked up the handset again and clicked it. “Jack, after you take out the trash, there’re two women at table fifteen. Tell them that King will be taking Jena home and that their tab is on the house.”

“No problem, boss.”

King’s eyes never left my face during this exchange. When he was done, he dropped the radio on the desk again.

“Now, you’re girls are taken care of and you and I need to have a chat.”

I straightened my shoulders. “Like I said, King, I appreciate your help but I’m leaving.”

“Sit. Your. Ass. Down. Jena,” he barked.

“Fuck you, King!” I shouted.

Suddenly he was right in front of me, no, practically on top of me, his left arm wrapping around me and pulling me tightly against his body. His right hand twisted in my hair, yanking my head back so hard it almost hurt.

I didn’t understand why, but I felt that tugging somewhere else on my body. Somewhere much lower.

“Don’t say it unless you mean it, darlin’,” he snarled.

Then he kissed me.

Review

“This thing between you and me, it’s happening. You won’t admit it, but you want me. You can’t keep your goddamn hands off of me. Your mouth says you don’t wanna do this, but your body, well, it’s fuckin’  honest. As soon as I touch that pussy, you shut up and spread. Until that doesn’t happen anymore, it’s mine.”

I have been a fan of C.C. Wood’s book since I first read her Girl Next Door series and have devoured everything she has put out since. All or Nothing is C.C.’s first real leap into erotic romance and she hits it out of the park. I was intrigued by the synopsis and captivated by the story, full of twists and turns that kept me guessing till the very end. All or Nothing was a surprising read that has be begging for her to produce more books in this genre.

This book is difficult to wrap up without giving away spoilers so I am going to keep this part short. I honestly believe that you will enjoy it more if you go in with a minimal amount of information. The book starts with Jena starting to date and falling for new boyfriend. Justin. After months of dating Justin’s best friend, King, appears even though he has never even mentioned him before. It was hate at first sight lol ok so not hate but from the very beginning King rubs Jena the wrong way and to way she is weary of him is an understatement.

“Sit. Your. Ass. Down. Jena,” he barked. “Fuck you, King!” I shouted.

Based off what I thought I knew I believed I was going into some sort of cheater book or a love triangle so I was surprised to find that neither of these are true. And while I refuse to tell you any more that goes down just know that the relationship between Jena and King that develops is organic and true.

King was the kind of Alpha Male I dream of. Possessive and protective he went out of his way to do what was right for Jena and give her everything she desires even the desires she doesn’t know about. Jena is a strong willed heroine who doesn’t just roll over and let a man take over her life. She stands her ground and refuses to be less than anyone’s equal (not that King would want anything less from her) Jena is as surprised as the rest of us when she finds that as much of a fighter that she is in life she gets off on submitting in the bedroom. Somewhat confused by these new and exciting feelings she is both scared and aroused by the things that King can do to her heart and her body.

‘Then he kissed me, as light and gentle as butterfly wings, and the tears returned. I knew right then that King was in my heart, whether I wanted him there or not. Whether he wanted to be there or not. And when he left, my heart would just break. The part where he resided would wither and die.’

All or Nothing is the first book in the Wicked Games series but is stand alone novel that gives us that happily ever after we all crave. Fast paced and well written book All or Nothing is a book that kept me excited to keep turning the page to see what would happen next. Supremely sexy and action packed it had everything I love in a good erotic novel and then some.

“I’m starting to think you might have a crush on me, Dr. Baby.” His own crooked smile spread, hoping he was getting past the too quiet remark from earlier. He didn’t want Derek to see him that way.

“Then quit dodging me and let’s play doctor,” Derek growled. Justin could feel Derek’s heated gaze on him, but refused to look his way.

“I don’t mix business with pleasure,” Justin playfully fired right back, like he had every night they’d worked together. Besides, Derek had to know he was such a liar. It took everything in him not to jump the smug doctor right there in the hallway and show him exactly how well he played with others.

“I’m not buying it. Besides, if you don’t want to play with me, then why do I always catch you eye-fucking me?” Derek cockily countered. The doctor grabbed his forearm, stopping Justin in his tracks. Derek turned toward him and their eyes locked in an instant. Justin wondered if Derek could hear his heart pounding against his chest as he held his challenging gaze.

This was new to the game.

Best Selling Author Kindle Alexander is an innovative writer, and a genre-crosser who writes classic fantasy, romance, suspense, and erotica in both the male/male and male/female genres. It’s always a surprise to see what’s coming next!

I live in the suburbs of Dallas where it’s true, the only thing bigger than an over active imagination, may be women’s hair!

Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life – I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations – regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal… I don’t want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So instead I’m going to tell you about Kindle.

I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I’ll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died – weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn’t have to be alone.

That time in my life was terrible. It’s everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.

Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness – it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. It never happened.

Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to begin to write with a dear friend in the fan fiction world of Facebook. She got me through those dark days with her unwavering support and friendship. There wasn’t a time she wasn’t there for me. Sometimes together and sometimes by myself, we built a world where Kindle lives and stands for peace, love and harmony. It’s its own kind of support group. I know without question I wouldn’t be here today without her.

“I want you so fucking bad I hurt.”

Wowza!  This book!  Smoking hot!  I mean, it really was!  This was one of the hottest that I have read from these authors and God, I loved it.  I did not read Closet Confession when it first came out in an anthology as a very short story but now it is over 10,000 words longer and it totally rocked.

The sexy, the secretiveness and the surprise.  Good job, guys, you got me!  LOL  I loved everything about this book and I especially appreciate how Kindle Alexander always manages to take a sensitive subject and handle it with such tender love and care.  They are my go to authors for hot steamy m/m books with heart and Dr. Babineaux and nurse Justin Delacroix are no different.  Get ready for a steamy read with a side dish of surprise.

To touch a Dark One is death.
To talk to an immortal is suicide.
Yet, I’ve been marked by both.
A Vampire.
And the King of the immortals.
My life is no longer my own.
And now I know the truth, my life was never mine to begin with.
It was theirs.
It’s always been theirs.

Review

‘I wanted to touch him. I wanted to taste him. It was more than just being near him – I wanted everything about him to consume me until I wasn’t even me anymore.’

As hesitant as I was to jump into this new paranormal series from Rachel Van Dyken I can honestly say it stole my day and I cannot wait for more from the series. With a cast of characters that will surprise and amuse you this was a book that was literally impossible to stop reading. I quickly became attached to both Ethan and Genesis and while I spent most of this book worried I was encountering a love triangle what I got was a epic story of two people destined for each other.

“Only when your need is so great for him that you’ve forgotten yourself completely. That’s when you whisper his name.”

Genesis has always known of the immortals and what her role to them would be if her number was called. Only when the time comes she quickly finds out that she actually knows nothing and everything about the life she has lived and the one she thought was meant for her has changed. Trapped between the affections of a vampire and a dark one, Genesis is confused and scared but in the midst of a brewing war she learns of her own strength and finally finds a way to let go to her hearts desire.

‘I learned something in that instant.

He was a jerk.

No, he was a selfish ass.

But I missed him.

And I hated both him and myself because he’d turned away, and I needed him to be close.’

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this book and cast of characters. The crew of immortals was so captivating that I on edge waiting to get each of their stories.  I will say for a good point of the book I noticed many similarities to her novel Elite, book one in her mafia series. While still very different, I personally saw many similarities not only in the feel and mannerisms of the characters but in the details of the story. In no way was this a bad thing nor was this a retelling of the same story just that at times I got slightly distracted by this. Still I would recommend this book to all romance and paranormal lovers as well of those who love the Eagle Elite series as I do.
