Synopsis

Andi Stone is a strong, smart and independent woman, thanks to the help of a famous boxing trainer, Mack, and his protégé, Shane, who have respectively been like a father and brother to her. But that wasn’t always the case. Andi never knew what a “normal” life was like. Having been raised in foster care from the age of six after the death of her parents, Andi became emancipated at 16 after an especially horrible incident forced her into a psychiatric hospital.

Review

Crazy Maybe was a great read. It is told in dual POV so you are able to get in

both H/h respective heads. Andi is tough and super spunky; while she spends

her days working at either the boxing gym or at a local youth centre, her

evenings are spent singing karaoke in front of all her friends at their favorite

club. Now this is no ordinary karaoke, I’m talking costumes and sets! Andi first

see’s Luke at the club when she is on stage and for these two it is definitely lust

at first sight! When they cross paths again at the boxing gym the sparks are

flying! But Luke is not a relationship guy and Andi doesn’t do one night stands

so they decide to be friends. This last for a while and really adds to the sexual

tension! When these two finally get together it is H-O-T!

Both Andi and Luke have secrets and issues from their past however I

didn’t find this book to be overrun with relationship angst which was very

refreshing! I don’t want to give too much away but this book fairly long and jam packed

with loads of super-hot sex, very romantic love, emotional heartbreak and

page turning suspense!

REVIEW:

First off, this is a cute story about rediscovered love. Dr. Cain Turner and Faith McKinnon were seperated by war, but they soon find themselves with the opportunity to reconnect. It was a little cliche at times, and a little predictable, but Faith and her sisters each had their own personalities that shown through which made it interesting. All of the names were a bit kitschy, Harmony, Honor, Faith, Patience, Cain and Abel, but again, it didn’t deter from their character development.

I actually wish it was a bit longer, or had a bit more content. On the other hand, the story could have been shortened to a novella and not lose any of the heart. That being said, the story does have a great message. One that many Americans feel everyday; that the war changes our soldiers and they often come back home completely different. It’s important to keep the Faith in your loved ones, and reach out to them during those trying times, and that is one of the messages in Cain’s Salvation.

There were some really hot sex scenes. Ladies, can you say DIRTY TALKER?!?!?! Here is Cain, just getting started after they get back together.

“Oh, I love that sound, Sweetness….I’ve missed hearing how you cry out when I touch you.”  “I’m gonna enjoy making you scream tonight, love. Long and loud.”

It gets pretty steamy after that! Author Sarah O’Rourke does a good job of making you want more, that’s for sure! I want Patience and Abel’s story. Something tells me that it could be very explosive.

Overall, a quick, easy, sweet read with a lot of heart. 4 smooches.

Synopsis

As soon as I set eyes on the gorgeous guy who saves me from having to dance with yet another jerk, I thought he would be just like the rest. His bad boy rocker image definitely screamed heart breaker, but I was wrong. Boy was I wrong! Yes, Jax can sometimes act like a caveman but he’s different than the rest and I can’t seem to forget about him. Not that he will give me the chance to forget about him! But why would someone like Jax, who has more than enough experience be interested in a little virgin like me? I thought for sure he was a heartless player when I first met him but I quickly figured out that wasn’t the case at all.

As soon as I spot the sexy little red head walk in, I’ve already laid her down and claimed her. Now it’s just getting her to realize that, along with all the fuckers who seem to be eyeballing her. I soon find out that Kendal is addictive and I need to have my fill of her regularly. How a man before me has never gone that far and claimed Kendal for himself before is beyond me but thank fuck they haven’t because Kendal will be completely mine.

Review

A Rockstar’s Valentine has a very good story.  The characters were fun to read about and I enjoyed their journey together.  Kendal came off as a smart and sassy chick who knows what she wants and Jax was super hot and romantic to boot.  I really loved how alpha bad ass he was, while still being romantic, patient, and kind.

“You make me so hard I cant think straight.  I only think of you and yes, I want to be inside you baby.  I want to be your first.  You gotta understand though Kendal, once I do there’s nobody else yeah, just you and me.”

Sigh!  Super sweet and sexy too!  He is also super Alpha and dominating!  HOT!

I really enjoyed this book and I probably would have given it more smooches if not for one thing; editing.  This book really needs some good editing!  There were a lot of mistakes through out and it kind of drove me crazy.  I feel bad about that because the story and writing were good.  3 smooches.

Review

I really, really, really, loved this book a lot.  I literally read it in pretty much one sitting, dishes and laundry be damned.  I found it so fascinating, as I am not all that familiar with the BDSM scene.  While Jonah described his BDSM sessions to Leticia in great detail, I was on the edge of my seat, totally hanging on to every word and entranced.  I feel like I felt the same as Leticia, impatiently awaiting the conclusion to a story or wondering what was going to happen next.  Jason Luke wrote Jonah in a sort of magical way.  Jonah was a little conceited, a bit awkward,  something of a know it all, and a lot sexy, but none of these things made you dislike him.  I still found that his character completely captivated me.  Oh, and the sex!  The sex was so damn hot!  Ridiculously hot!  It was even hotter that Jonah was telling innocent and sweet Leticia his crazy sex stories.  I was squirming in my seat right along with her.  So freakin hot!

The writing was fabulous.  The story was phenomenal.  However, the ending of this story pissed me off so bad.  If you are looking for an HEA, look elsewhere.  I so wanted a HEA for Jonah.  In fact, I literally waited 24 hours after finishing this book to write the review.  I did not want my anger at the ending to effect my rating of this excellent book.  The ending literally destroyed me.  I think I am going to go troll Facebook now for an Interview with a Master support group.  5 smooches, Jason Luke!

I really wanted to love From Lies to Promises and based on its description I was really intrigued. It started out good but for some reason I never really connected with the story or the characters. I felt like it had great potential but was missing something. The heroine Kat has had a traumatic childhood and has some pretty big trust issues. Exactly what happened to her stays a mystery throughout most of the book and I feel like maybe if I knew more about her through flashbacks or something I would have been rooting for her a bit more. Ryder is a good Hero, falling fast for Kat he is super sweet and helps her overcome some of her issues. However there was one thing that he did that really pissed me off and I wouldn’t be as forgiving as Kat was! There were some other aspects to the story that could have used further exploration but just seem to fall by the wayside. At around 150 pages this was a pretty short read and I think some more detail would have really made a big difference.

Redemption is the second book in the Forgiven series by Rebecca Brooke. Although part of a series this book can be read as a standalone. Redemption is a story about how if something  is really important you can change the pattern of your life. In Redemption, both Josh and Lauren have to overcome the troubles they had at home and in other relationships that can make it hard for them to trust in a relationship.

If you read Rebecca’s first book, Forgiven, you will remember that Josh is Caleb’s best friend and roommate. Caleb and Angie from Forgiven are now together and living with Josh in the apartment. At a surprise party for Angie’s birthday, Josh spots Lauren, a friend of Angie’s, and is immediately attracted to her. When Lauren meets Josh it is clear that this strong attraction is mutual!

Lauren is a star pitcher on the college’s softball team. Her good looks and talent make her more than a catch. After a bad breakup because her boyfriend was cheating on her, she knows getting involved with the campus player is a bad idea and has every intention of staying away.

Josh is a stud and he knows it. A football star and campus player Josh is never hurting when it comes to getting girls in his bed! Josh is known for only being with a girl one time and has no intention on changing that pattern! When Josh sees Lauren he knows he wants her, he thinks its for a night and can’t even fathom it would be for more.

After a night of fun and drinking with friends the two end up at Josh’s apartment and have some incredibly steamy sex! The next morning when Josh wakes up and Lauren is gone he feels something he is not used to, disappointment. After trying to stay apart they realize they are meant to be together.

Things are not all hearts and flowers with Josh and Lauren. Both have issues developed from their childhood and when Lauren’s moment of weakness tests Josh’s resolve, the future of their relationship is in danger. Can these two get past the troubles they grew up with and focus on the love that they can have?

Rebecca Brooke has written a love story set in the college age but the emotional depth of these two characters feel older than the normal silliness of that age. These two are so well written that you can feel what they feel. Josh’s change from campus player to the world’s sweetest boyfriend doesn’t feel fake or trite but more like a true love has developed and changed this man. Watching him grow and develop as the story unfolds is truly beautiful.

While reading the story I felt like Lauren started off a very strong woman but letting her guard down while in love made her softer and a bit weaker. This is not a bad thing and is completely necessary for the story development.

Redemption had everything I look for in a great NA read. It was fun, endearing, heartwarming, funny, sexy as hell and I really loved watching these two fall in love and test the strength of it. I went though the gambit of emotions reading this book but was so happy to where the story lead. I definitely think anyone who enjoys NA should read this book and watch how true love happens.
