Sports themed romance novels, especially fighter books, is one of my favorite sub-genres so this is a series that I have been very excited for. Tough Love is the story of confident and humble Vanity and the sexy but skittish to relationships fighter Stack. After an agreement to have one hot night together following Stack accompanying Vanity to her best friend’s wedding leaves Vanity not only deeply engrained into the drama that is Stack’s life and family, she finds there is no where else she wants to be. But the question is how long will Stack want her around and so involved in his life?

From the moment the story starts you can tell these two are going to be hot and heavy for each other and in that they do not disappoint, their chemistry is undeniable and their need insatiable. But Vanity’s desire to be more than a casual hookup soon leaves her making questionable decisions, even if she has the best of intentions, and the trust that is so important to Stack is tested.
Vanity is giving and kind and always looking for a way to help. While sometimes ingraining herself in problems that are not hers she is always trying to make the situation better and for that I loved her. I found her to be earnest and sweet. Stack is sexy and reserved. Carefully choosing his words he loves those he cares for unmistakably and his closeness to his family only makes him more attractive.

Tough Love has easily become my favorite book in the Ultimate Series and that is fully due to the beauty that is Vanity Baker. She is perfection and flawed and the perfect balance to a sexy, protective and tough fighter. Fans of HOT fighters, alpha men and romantic suspense will not want to miss this one!
