Synopsis
As the bond between Alexandra and Branford grows, they each have their hopes for the future. Alexandra finds new friendship with the girl she rescued from a cruel master, and slowly embraces her noble role. It seems as though everything in their lives has become as smooth as silk.
But war is on the horizon.
The neighboring kingdom of Hadebrand has amassed an army, and Branford must leave his new wife to right for his people against insurmountable odds. Alexandra must hold her terror inside of herself while her husband is away, and set an example for the people of the kingdom.
As the war comes to an end, there is only one thing on Branford’s mind. But how will Alexandra overcome her anguish when she can’t give her husband the one thing he must have?

Every cover for every book in this serial is seriously amazing. They are all so deliciously historical but somehow modern and sexy! I love them. Now that I have gotten that off of my chest, let’s get to the nitty gritty of Branford and Alexandra’s story this go round. They are back with all the drama and anxiety of war that comes with time era. God, this one was good. Because so many things are in the works and I have a ton of theories about how this is all going to play out but I have a feeling this author will surprise me anyways.

This serial just keeps getting better and better. I honestly was expecting things to kind of even out as far as the story goes but Shay Savage has managed me keep me on the edge of seat through every installment of Unexpected Circumstances. I CANNOT wait to see what happens next. These are must read, folks! Grab them all. Now!
