A hauntingly beautiful and emotionally charged romance, Every Silent Lie by Jodi Ellen Malpas masterfully intertwines heartbreak and mystery against a stark holiday backdrop. The story follows Camryn, a woman who is grappling with profound loss and betrayal, and Dec, the enigmatic and irresistibly charismatic stranger, with secrets of his own, and whose arrival in Cam’s life promises solace. Their connection is magnetic, a turbulent dance of vulnerability and desire that pulls them together even as the secrets and shadows of their pasts threaten to tear them apart.
As is always the case, Malpas’s storytelling was both captivating and gut-wrenching. This was an addictively moving and memorable tale of trust, deception and redemption. With its complex characters, sizzling tension, and emotional depth, Malpas doesn’t simply tell a love story on these pages, she immerses readers in the ache and beauty of two broken souls fighting for a chance to heal.
