Synopsis
Two stories so deeply intertwined, you’ll think you know how they intersect…but you’ll be wrong….
Zack Martin
The day I met Emily Bennett my whole world changed. Sure, we were just kids, but I was old enough to know my life would never be the same. She was my best friend. My destiny. My fate. I wasn’t wrong…I just didn’t know how twisted fate could be.
Nikki Fallon
After the death of my mother, moving from my dark and dreary trailer park to sunny California, I was focused on one thing – finding a sister I’d only just learned existed. Falling in love with him wasn’t part of the plan. But he filled a void I never knew was possible to fill. He had to be my fate. My destiny. Until the day I finally found out who my sister was…and how twisted fate could be.
Review
Ok, so this is my very first Vi Keeland and my very first Dylan Scott book. I was shocked that it was YA as I do not typically read a ton of YA, but I can pretty much read anything as long as it is written well and has a fabulous story and Left Behind had both of those things in spades!
Nikki Fallon looses her mother but soon finds out after her mothers death that she has a twin sister that she has never met. She makes it her mission to find her sister but instead she finds Zack Martin; a sweet, sexy, broken boy.
Around Zack, I feel… at home. Like I belong. Something I never thought I’d feel again.
They find each other when both of them need a certain something in their lives to help them heal. They help each other do just that. Their story really is a sweet one full of teenage angst and adult problems.
“There’s just something solitary about them, but at the same time they draw people in…guide them…maybe even save a few, just by giving them light in the darkness.”
Just when you think these young lovers have it together, BAM, a huge plot twist happens that I sort of saw coming but didn’t really know how it all would play out. I do not want to give any spoilers, so I will just say that you will probably need some tissues and maybe some chocolate to help in the recovery process.
I really enjoyed this book. Fabulous writing and really great Young Adult story that is different than a lot of YA that I have read. This is a complete stand-alone full length novel with a very happy Happily-Ever-After.
