Synopsis

I believe in love at first sight.
Now I know soulmates exist.

Nothing has ever been easy for us.
Every fight, every struggle, has been worth it.

I’m stubborn, but what woman isn’t?
She’s hard work and I love the overtime.

He’s frustrating and unpredictable. I hope he never changes.
I love driving her crazy. That’s half the fun.

Lou’s sexy curls.
Honeybee’s pink nose.

He still looks at me like I’m precious and unflawed.
She treats me like I’m the center of her world.

Our future will be full of happiness.
Despite everything, we’re two of the lucky ones.

I took the bait.
She was a lucky catch.

He is the wind in my sail.
She’s the anchor that grounds me.

The wake our love made is beautiful.
Every day I thank God for her.

No matter the hurdles, we’ve jumped them side-by-side.
No matter the obstacles, we’ve made it through together.

For better or for worse, I’d do it again.
I’ll love and protect her all the days of my life.

We made it.
We always will.

Review

“How about your trouble meets my trouble at the altar tomorrow?”

Oh Casey, Casey, Casey! I do not believe there is a woman alive who would not fall head over heels for this book boyfriend perfection. In this third installment of the Wake series by M. Mabie, Casey and Blake finally get the happily ever after that they have been struggling to find since they first locked eyes in that bar two books ago. This series has made me laugh, made me cry and here at the end it has finally left me with a happy and light feeling in my heart.

‘She tasted like forever.’

Casey and Blake have been through it all and I feel like us the readers have been on this emotional roller coaster right along side of them. If you have been keeping up with the series (and yes they do need to be read in order) than you know the struggles Casey has had since finding the woman he was destined to love. No one ever thinks they will fall for someone else’s partner and at times I was angry and sad over the whole situation but I came out of this book elated at the end they finally came to.

‘In that very second, where I’d thought I’d given my heart to him before,  I stood corrected. Because, as a trade for the ring on my hand, I unconditionally gave him my heart and soul.’

M. Mabie is a hell of a writer, maybe one of the best I have read. She has an amazing talent of writing extremely touching and poignant dialogue one moment and raunchy laugh out loud humor the next all the while making you fall in love with the perfect man and the flawed woman he loves.
