Review

“You don’t go barging toward a woman who doesn’t know you and scoop her up, moron!” “Well, you don’t throat punch a man for trying to keep your stubborn ass from drowning!”

I am already a fan of Kate Stewart’s New Adult and Contemporary romances but with Anything But Minor I am very excited to see what more Romantic Comedies she has to bring us. Anything But Minor had a bit of it all, a strong heroine, hilarious banter, a cast you grew to love and a story that was both easy to read and full of dramatic moments and drawn out angst (well not too drawn out but just enough.)

“Wow, we made you agreeable too.”  “Stop referring to your junk as anther entity, Rafe. It’s creepy.” “We’ll shut you up again soon.”

When Rafe meets Alice they are both convinced that he just wants one hot night. As he pursues her to get to her body they develop a friendship. That friendship was the highlight of the book for me. They felt truly connected and by time things developed to more it felt genuine and full of depth and emotion. Rafe has always been a playboy and Alice is sheltered and innocent. Together they balance each other and set up some amazingly hilarious banter.

“You called my penis Jake Ryan.” “It’s the highest of compliments, I swear.”

If you enjoy a good rom com and love sports romances like I do than I urge you to give Anything But Minor a shot. I smiled the whole way through and was hooked from the start with the plot. I love Kate’s writing and I am super hopeful that there will be more books like this from her soon!
