Synopsis

I’ve loved once. I gave everything that I had to that love. Blindly believing that nothing could ever take that feeling away from me. Away from us. And when my little world of happiness was ripped from my fingers, I felt a loss that still haunts me to this day.

Now I use that lingering grief as a shield to keep my heart from loving again. It’s that fear that keeps me from letting anyone, except my daughter, get close enough to make it hurt. To make my heart bleed when I inevitably lose again.

Until the day I met Liam Beckett and everything I thought I had protected myself from was shoved back in my face.

He’s on a mission to prove to me that a love worth having is a love worth fighting for.

Review

“Tell me, Megs, Give me the words.” “Take me, Liam. Give me everything. Make me feel. God, please make me feel!”

Bleeding Love is a journey of emotions with a sweet story about moving forward in your life and respecting your past but not dwelling in it. Slightly resembling the story of Liam’s parents, Dee and Beck, Bleeding Love is like going back in time with a fresh take. Liam and Megan will melt your heart and steam up your windows.

“I also know in order to have those things, I will be fighting the hardest fight I’ve ever fought. Because not only am I fighting for someone that can’t see through the shadows to find the rope I’m holding to pull herself off rock bottom, but I’m also fighting the ghosts of her past that I’m not sure will let her go long enough to make that climb.”

Megan is living a half life after the loss of her husband. Living entirely for her daughter and content in never having that everlasting love she has always dreamed of she is simply existing. Liam Beckett had a small taste of the woman he has known he wanted and he is not letting her go. He has been waiting patiently for her to come to terms with what they are destined to be but now it is the time for her to finally see what are meant to be.

“You’re getting my mouth first, darlin’. That wasn’t enough of a taste and fuck me, I’m starved.”

Bleeding Love was very different than Harper’s other stories for me. Focusing more on healing than a suspenseful plot it was a departure from her typical formula but still a very enjoyable read. Liam was absolutely the sweetest most patient alpha yet and Molly completely stole my heart. The way she had all the men of Hope Town wrapped around her finger made for many laugh out loud moments.

“My God. This man.”

I absolutely love visiting with all the different characters I fell in love with in the Corps Security Series (especially any scene with Axel) and am quickly falling for their kids stories too! I am beyond excited for Nate’s book. If you love a small town romance with a damaged heroine and a patient alpha male than Bleeding Love might just be the book for you.
