Synopsis

Viola Fisher is the epitome of perfection.
She despises my one-night stands and mocks my less-than-classy habits.
She’s smart, beautiful, and too good to be true.
And I want her.

If she were anyone else, I’d have made my move years ago, but considering she’s my best friend’s little sister, she’s always been off-limits. Not to mention how much she loathes my very existence.

Hating me is her religion, but needing her is mine. Her sexy curves and filthy smart mouth make me want her even more, and I’m more determined than ever to change her mind.

I’ll prove I’m done playing games.
But until then, we’ll continue to play by her rules.
Viola Fisher may have won the battle, but the war isn’t over yet.

Checkmate, princess.

REVIEW

Travis and viola have already been through the ringer in the first book- this is war. Enemies turned friends, turned…well trying to turn into lovers but hurdles just keep getting thrown at them. In This is Love, will Travis and Viola finally be able to get rid of their mistrust and overcome all the obstacles in their way to be together?

“We have a history—a damaged one—but nevertheless, a history that has bonded us together since we were kids. The more I think about it, the more I want to punch myself for every sting I blew her way.”

We are thrown straight back into Travis’s and Viola’s turbulent relationship and pick up straight from where This is War ends and we know from this that there is still a tough road for these two to travel before they can accept that they truly belong together.

“You want to watch Bridget Jones’ Diary with me?” I swallow my words of disdain and plaster on a cocky grin. “Yeah, of course. BJ’s my homegirl.” She bursts out laughing, her head falling back as a sweet roar releases from her throat.”

Travis and Viola were both characters I really enjoyed reading about in the first book and I loved them even more in this book! Travis was so adorable in this book- definitely showing us his more emotional and vulnerable side and really wanting to prove to Viola that he only wanted her and that he was worthy of her. Yet he still kept his sexy side and the chemistry with Viola was off the charts!

“Over the years, he’s whittled away at my heart, and has finally carved a path straight through the middle. I hope to God this never ends.”

Viola was a lot stronger in this book I believed. She was more confident and wasn’t taking any s**t from anyone- she was determined and it was nice to read about such a passionate woman! And of course I LOVED her slightly nerdy side and her love of books!

“No one will ever be able to take this away from us, because what we have is more than a stupid crush or a one-night stand. It’s real.”

One of the things I enjoyed most in the first book was the banter between Travis and Viola and book two didn’t disappoint at all- their relationship grows and develops a lot in this one but they still have that undeniable connection that I think is built on the fact that these two laugh together so much and can make fun of each other all in the name of making each other laugh. We have the tears, drama, chemistry, laughter – everything to that I loved in the first book and that we get to see these two grow so much not only in their relationship but within their own personalities. It was honestly captivating to read, they were such loveable and relatable characters.

“You were always the girl.” “And you were always the boy, Travis King.”

This was a great finish for a beautiful couple and they for the ending they deserved and the ending I had been hoping for throughout. I love that we are going to read more from the characters in this duet series and I hope we get to catch up with Travis and Viola and see how they are getting on.
